He can't believe he's let Kurt convince him into this, but now that he has, there's no going back. Kurt's done this a million times by now, so he's kind of an expert. That's a relief at least, to have someone who knows what it's supposed to feel like guiding him through this. He hadn't expected it to feel quite so awkward, and he really hadn't expected it to sting like this, but Kurt just tells him to relax; that it's normal. A few minutes ago, he'd had Kurt's warm, soft hands on him skin, generously applying the… well, Blaine honestly wasn't sure what it was but it was slick and a little cold, and it seemed way too intimate, with Kurt staring him straight in the eyes the whole time, fingers firm but gentle against Blaine's sensitive skin. Now it's been a few minutes, and he just feels really, really tight, but again, Kurt says it's normal, and he trusts Kurt.

And then Finn walks into the room and he is so incredibly embarrassed that his boyfriend's step brother is seeing him like this. He supposes they shouldn't have done this in the living room if they didn't want to see, but it had been so spur of the moment, and-

"Hi, Finn!" Kurt chirps.

"Uh, hey. What are you guys up to?" Finn asks. "What's that on your face?"

"It's a purifying mask! I found a recipe online and Blaine and I are trying it out. We've got some left, if you want to try it out."

"Uh, no thanks." He sits down on the sofa next to Kurt, though, and flips on the TV. "What's it supposed to do, anyway?"

"It helps moisturize and clear skin. I couldn't believe it when Blaine told me he'd never done one before!"

"My skin does get kinda dry in winter sometimes," Finn comments, eyes focused on the TV.

It's not really unusual for Kurt and Finn to watch TV together. They haven't got much in common, but sometimes Kurt will bring his homework into the living room while Finn watches football. Burt knows that Kurt's new boyfriend likes football, so now it's even less unusual to see the three of them sitting together on the couch.

It's not unusual for them to watch TV together. He's a little surprised by the green goop on their faces, though.

He sits down in an armchair. He probably shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore. At least they're all getting along, he thinks.

"Hi, dad," Kurt greets. His voice sounds a little tight, and Burt realizes it's because he can't really move his face with the mask on.

"Hi boys. So, looks like you're, uh… grooming."

"Hey, Burt. Kurt made this mask stuff. He says it'll make sure my skin doesn't get so dry and itchy," Finn says. Kurt has promised never to tell Puck, and that's all Finn really needs. It's a little sticky, and talking feels really strange, but Kurt really knows his way around this sort of stuff. He trusts him.

"My skin does get kind of dry in winter," Burt says.
