Let It Snow

Oh the weather outside is frightful,

But the fire is so delightful,

And since we've no place to go,

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Brick and Blossom were sprawling out on the living room floor. Piles of papers, notebooks, pencils and other utensils surrounded them. Blossom kicked her feet in the air and bit on her pencil, she was clearly confused on one of the questions. "Blossom, we can take a break." said Brick with a smirk.

She looked up at him with a small smirk of her own, accompanied by a roll of her eyes, "Don't think anything of this, Brick. I only agreed to come over, during my Christmas vacation-" she shot him a mocking smile, "Because you so desperately needed my help."

"Really? Because I don't know any other person who would go over their 'rivals' house on Christmas Eve just to help them with homework." he smiled back at her and crossed his arms. "Maybe you just desperately wanted to see me."

She sat up and let out a gentle scoff, "If you're suggesting something, then I'll just leave right now. Simple."

He shook his head with fake disappointment and clicked on the television. "The weather outside truly is frightful. The past three hours have consisted of non-stop snow, making it obvious that the roads are dangerous and icy. We advice people to stay indoors."

Blossom's jaw dropped, "Brick!"

"Come on, you may be stuck here but at least I have the fire going for us. It's so warm and cozy." he gestured to the burning wood and wiggled his brows.

"I can't stay!" she got up abruptly and headed to the door.

"But you don't really have anywhere to go!"

It doesn't show signs of stopping,

And I've bought some corn for popping,

The lights are turned way down low

,Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

He stood in front of the door quickly while she was busy putting on her coat. She shot him a glare, "Move."

"The weather shows no signs of stopping, possibly the worst blizzard of the month." announced the weatherman.

"Blossom, you may be a Power Puff Girl but you can't go out in that snow. Just wait for it to slow down a bit."

Blossom could hear the sarcasm rolling off his tongue. This was his plan all along, get Blossom to come over, get snowed in, then make a move. Jerk! She looked out the window and saw the rapid snow falling, "Fine but you better have some food."

"I've already got the popcorn popping." he winked.

She settled down on the couch and snuggled into a blanket. The lights slowly dimmed and she couldn't contain herself, she gave herself a small knowing smile. Here comes the move.

When we finally kiss goodnight,

How I'll hate going out in the storm!

But if you'll really hold me tight,

All the way home I'll be warm.

A few hours passed by and it was two in the morning. Blossom was nuzzled into Brick's chest as they laid silently on the couch listening to the wood crack and burn. She nudged him, "Brick, I really have to go."

He looked up at her and held her tighter, "I guess…"

"I really don't want to go out in this storm." she shivered at the thought, "I'll freeze!"

Before she could speak again or move for that matter Brick captured her lips in his. "Goodnight." was all he replied as she stared at him shocked.

The fire is slowly dying,

And, my dear, we're still good-bying,

But as long as you love me so,

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

"Brick!" Blossom laughed as he kept holding her as she was trying to put her jacket on. The fire was just a small flame and hardly any wood was left to burn, yet Brick was still not done wishing the girl goodbye.

"I love you, Bloss."

She froze and felt like there was a storm in her stomach, "I never knew I could be so thankful for snow."

"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow." Brick muttered they kissed again.
