Inuyasha/Bleach
Kagome/Ichigo or maybe someone else.
So guys, I am revamping this story. Been a long while since I have written anything on it, mostly because I was getting upset with some of the happening in the manga, but then I realized, fan fiction is supposed to be creative and in to something you would like to see come out of your imaginative brains. So, here we are. A lot of the story is going to be the same as the manga, but there will be some changes that will become apparent when they show up.
So without further ado, please enjoy and leave a review on what you think, constructive criticism is welcome.
Also, everyone in highschool, there ages are going to be different that in the Bleach series. Ichigo is going to actually be about 16 going on 17. same with the others.
Prologue
Her life changes, again
Kagome Higurashi, age 17, sister, friend, fighter, lover, and all around wonderful being. On most days. She is also a miko, no the kind that you just see doing shrine work in the old shinto shrines, but one with actual abilities. The Shikon no Miko, guardian of the fabled treasure Shikon no Tama, Jewel of four souls.
These are the things that she had recently been known for, but no one, except her mother, and a few others, knew this. For everyone that was important and would remember, are long gone, five centuries in the past in the Edo period.
After the jewel had been completed and Naraku destroyed, the jewel fused back with her, for there was no such thing as a pure wish. Forcibly pulled back into the future, with only a few quick words of goodbye to her adopted son and a wave of farewell to her friends and allies, she disappeared like a spirit vanishing from the world.
She cried for weeks after this. She had tried to jump back through the magic well to go back, but it never let her through, even with the jewel resting in her body once again. Eventually depression set in, and the family became worried. Oh she smiled and laughed, but it was all hollow, void of actual true happiness.
Kagome herself saw it as well, but could not pull herself out. Not with herself being so close to the reminder of what she had lost. Time would heal wounds, but it took a special something to heal from wounds caused by time.
One morning, as Kagome was sweeping the grounds for her grandfather, no school on that day, she found herself staring up at the Goshinboku tree. It had always been special in her family. It was well over a thousand years old, and still standing strong, protecting her family and anyone who stepped foot onto the grounds for harsh spiritual and physical hurt. If trees could actually talk, and not demon trees, then it would have fantastical stories to tell of the worlds it had seen.
"Kagome, do you have a moment?" her mothers voice broker her out of her quiet stuppor, and she nodded, sitting at the stone bench infront of the large tree.
"Whats up, mama" Kagome asked, setting down her broom and resting her broom. Kagome's mother, Rima, smiled sadly.
"Kagome, what do you remember of your father?" she asked. Kagome thought hard for a moment, blurry memories filtering from an early age.
"I remember, he was never home often, but when he was we were all together happily." She finally said. "He would come home with little treats and we would play in the forests together. I know I get my eye color, blue, from him. And some of his cheekiness." The both laughed quietly at that. "And then he was gone. we never saw him again. We never really spoke about him, so I assumed he passed away to young for me to remember."
Rima smiled slightly, but sadly. She wondered how her daughter wold react to her news.
"He is alive and well, Kagome, and I have recently spoken with him about your… depression." She said. "And if you are willing, I think it would be a good idea for you to spend the rest of high school with your father. Get yourself away from all the memories for now, till they have healed over."
Kagome was quiet for a moment at the news. She wanted to be angry, she really did, but she couldn't be. Her mother wanted her to get better. But her father? Why? Where had he been and why would he care now about her?
"Where has he been all this time? Why hasn't he ever tried to come back?" she asked, sounding slightly hurt at the realization of her father.
"He said he had to leave to protect your brother and me. He said, that at the time it was very dangerous to be around him at the time. It is still slightly dangerous, but he knows you can protect yourself, unlike the rest of us." She explained and then smiled, rubbing her daughters raven black tresses. "He never stopped loving you, or caring for you. Though, he could have gone about it a different way."
Kagome nodded and leaned her head tiredly on her mothers shoulder, her scent was light, but smelled of a home cooked meal. It was relaxing, being near her mother.
"Alright" she agreed airily through a sigh as she stood up. "I will live with him for the remainder of my high school career and maybe sometime after until I have finally moved on. But promise me that I can come back and visit, anytime I want to." Rima nodded.
"What kind of mother would I be if I banned you from the me and your family?" she joked, and hugged her daughter close. "I will let your father know of your decision and you will be moving out there in the next week. He lives about an hour and a half away, a small but nice town called Karakura. You will like it there, less city traffic that here in Tokyo."
"Alright, thanks Mama."
"Anytime darling. Now lets get some lunch. I made sushi and onigiri."
So how do you all like the new chapter? I am taking down the other ones and rewriting them, so if you have any comment or question or constructive criticism, please review. In fact, review anyway, they make me feel special
