Naruto and Splinter stood in front of a closed door in the monastery with three of the four turtles and their two human allies from New York. The fourth turtle was currently behind the door, talking with his second-greatest enemy.

"So now what? We just wait?" Raph asked the rat.

"Precisely that Raphael."

"But we can't let her…"

"Enough. What happens next will be on Leonardo to decide. It is him she has hurt the most."

"Do not judge her too harshly Raphael." Naruto added, not taking his eyes away from the door even as Chikara came to stand next to him. "Not without knowing all the details first."

"Fine." He huffed, crossing his arms. "But I don't have to like it."

"Of course not."

"Can you guys keep quiet? I can't hear a word they're saying." Michelangelo spoke up, the left side of his face pressed up against the door.

"Mikey…" Donatello just sighed. "Scooch over a bit, I want to hear." He walked over to the door, and glanced back at Raphael.

"Fine, yeah, me too." The last brother joined them.

"Kids." Splinter sighed, while Naruto just face-palmed.

The room was quiet now, and dark. The two sat on either side of a small table with two teacups. It had taken Karai almost an hour to explain everything, and Leo had been disturbingly quiet during it.

"I told you so." Leo said after a few moments of silence. Karai's head shot up to look at him in surprise.

"What?"

"When I told you that you were an honorable person? I was right." She just sat there, blinking in surprise at his grinning face. "So; 'I told you so'."

"That's… all you have to say?"

"Yep."

"You…" She sighed, looking down at her hands. "Thank you, Leonardo."

"Hey." He shimmied until he was next to her and clasped her hands in his much larger ones. Karai had to fight down a blush. "I'm glad you're here."

"So am I." She rested her head on his shoulder.

It was a that time that the door flew open and three turtles tumbled in, landing in a heap one on top of the other. Splinter, Naruto and Chikara stood further back, the rat rubbing his chin while the blond had an amused look on his face.

Karai's head bolted up quickly from Leo's shoulder, an embarrassed blush on her face, while the turtle sighed and stood up, walking over to his brothers and helping them up.

"Having fun guys?"

"So we were curious." Don rubbed the back of his head. "It's not every day your brother spends an hour locked up with his enemy and nothing breaks." Leo crossed his arms in front of him.

"She's not the enemy anymore."

"Ooh, Leo's got a crush." Mikey grinned.

"Mikey, so help me-"

"Guys, you're missing the point here." Raph huffed. "That's still Karai. You know, daughter of the Shredder!"

"Raph…"

"No, Leonardo, it is fine." Karai stood up and walked up to the turtles. "It is no less than I deserve. I have hurt you, all. And I am deeply sorry." She bowed to the other three. Raph just glared in response.

"Raph, please."

"Fine." He sighed, glancing back at the eldest brother. "I'll trust your judgment on this one, fearless leader." His eyes snapped back to Karai. "But if she so much as toes the line…"

"Thank you." Karai said simply, putting a calming hand on Leonardo's shoulder. "All of you."

"That went well." Naruto commented from the back.

"Indeed. I thought Raphael would do something drastic." Splinter hummed. "I am proud of them."

"We can afford to give them the day to get re-acquainted with their friends." Chikara spoke up. "Acolytes, training begins again tomorrow. Pass it on to your fellow students. Come, beloved, why don't we take a walk."

"Karai, you will be training under the Ancient One and myself along with Miss O'Neil and Mr. Jones." Splinter said, also turning to leave. "Kids, try not to break anything." All four turtles shot sheepish looks at his back.

This one was pretty difficult, I'll admit. I'm not a fan of the way it's been written so far. I'll probably wrap it up pretty quickly, I just need to re-watch the episodes.

You may be thinking the turtles are forgiving Karai way too quickly. And you'd probably be right, good observation.

Anyway, one down, one to go.
