One Shitty afternoon at the bar, his eyes were stinging with pain not that he could feel it, but he wish he could right about now. They were probably swollen, who cares. He downed the last of his drink and turned his attention to the stage, admiring some of the singers and dancers none was quite talented as her. She was stunning, her honey curls fell to her back and whipped with her head movements, and her voice was so . . . god it was gorgeous. Over hearing some of the guys talking about her the way they did made Nathan clench his jaw, trying to hold back his anger, the only thing good about it was her name . . . Alana.
Nathan parted his lips and almost purred at her, but what was he doing? . . . he could never be happy with her not like Audrey made him with her touch, but couldn't hurt but to talk with her, like Audrey said try to make a conversation. Just his luck she was sitting at a table not to far from him, he smiled and walked over, his eyes tracing over her body it was purely beautiful.
"Hi I was wondering if . . . I could sit here and talk with you cause it's good talking with people and stuff." Idiot…Why would he say something like that, he wanted to smack himself in the face with a bat until he bled but that wasn't going to help him feel the pain at all. She couldn't help and flash a smile at him, it was so cute how he failed at trying to make a conversation but he was learning. Her smile caught his eye and made him blush a bit; he sat down like a timid little kid and looked around.
"Relax… I won't bite cute how you're trying to make a conversation not like all the others who wanted me for something else" her accent was somewhat deep, Nathan guessed she was an Indian he loved her accent it was gorgeous. "I like your accent . . . It's pretty, I dated someone with an accent she lef- let's not talk about it. I'm Nathan Wournos, police officer" she smiled, and stared at him through her grey eyes, then her eyes met his there were a gorgeous blue, she breathed out and laughed.
He couldn't figure out what she was giggling about, was it something on his face or was he just weird, he leaned a bit closer and watched her with a lusting stare eyeing her back and forth trying to read her but it was hard too." Sorry… it's just you remind me of a cute kitten, but I'm sorry I can't talk to you I have things to do see you around Mr. Wournos" Standing up, she winked and grabbed her purse. Nathan stood up with her, and looked at her with a lost puppy look; he grabbed her hand that was still resting at the table.
He got the weirdest sensation; he could feel her like Audrey but a lot stronger it was weird."Would you like to get coffee together tomorrow? I mean if you're not busy." She nodded, and pulled away walking out the door with her little sway as she hummed a beautiful tone. He watched her and smile, but that was soon interrupted when his phone ranged, and that meant business.
Walking out the door, he got into his truck to past by Alana as she waved at him, he waved back and smiled noticing that the crime scene was at the local Indian reservation.
