Used

A/N: I don't know. I thought of this while I was washing dishes. Just goes to show how random I am. Mild language as well. Really short, and no plot, really. Enjoy!

Summary: Used, and for sale.

"Hey Gold! Get a load of this!" his girlfriend shouted at him, running towards him.

"Silver just told me that Crystal was just dating him because she wanted to make you jealous!" Sapphire laughed.

"Then he told me that you might just be dating me because you wante to make her jealous too! Silver's kinda crazy, isn't he?" she said. He let out a slightly muffed laugh, like what the redhead had said was true. Sapphire noticed this, and her eyes widened.

"Gold, that's not true, right?"

"O-of course not!" he stuttered. Sapphire wasn't convinced

"It's true, isn't it? You only dated me to get Crystal back! You've never cared about me! You've just used me, right?" she asked, angrily.

"Sapphire, it's not what you think!"

"Oh yeah? What I think is that you're a jerk, and I also think that it's done! I'm done!" she screamed, running away. She ran into the forest, not caring if he followed her or not - which he didn't.

She ran as fast as she could, until she tripped and fell over a tree root. She crawled over to the nearest tree, and sat there, drenched in melancholy. She thought, about random things - but somehow, everything eventually made her think about Gold, before hearing footsteps running closer to her. She hoped with all her heart it wasn't Gold - he was the last person she needed to see.

The brunette stayed deathly still and quiet, as she heard whoever it was calling out her name.

"Sapphire! Sapphire Birch!" the familiar voice called. She sighed in relief, realizing it wasn't him. It was Silver. He called her name out repeatedly, until he tripped on a tree root, just like she had.

"Stupid tree." he said, brushing the dirt and leaves off of his pants and jacket.

"Sapphire! Where are you, dammit?" he shouted.

"Whoa, calm down Silver, I'm right here!" she said, waving to him. He heaved a sigh of relief.

"Thank Arceus. Gold told me what happened, I just wanted to make sure you're still alive." he said, sitting beside her.

"So Gold was being a jerk again, hm?" he questioned her. She nodded and sighed.

"Well, thanks," she said, sincerely. He smiled, and offered his hand to help her up. She took it greatfully.

"You know, for caring about me more than that bastard ever has."
