A/N: Okay, this is perspective writing, which is my English assignment, however i just felt the need to upload it here XD I need to write a story in different point of views, and it has to be written in a different genre each time. The limit is pathetic tho... It's only 1500 words... _... Pathetic indeed right? But i really can't do anything about that so... Here's my first perspective. Steve Leopard in Teen Angst.
I sit in the classroom, feeling rejected yet again. It's been nearly a week since we've gotten back from the circus, and what do I have coming out of this? Darren, my best friend, ignoring me for a reason I am yet to discover. Did he see me talking to Vur Horston? Or should I call him… Mr. Crepsly? I shuddered in disgust at the thought of him spitting my blood out. That scene had re-played through my mind non-stop for 4 days straight. My blood? Disgusting? I grunted in displeasure and continued to scavenge for my friend whom I really needed to talk to. When I spotted him, I felt a mixture of feelings arising within me. I felt angry towards him for leaving me alone, barely even talking to me- or even avoiding me for that matter. But on the other hand, I felt hopeful. I longed for his presence; the times we used to laugh together, pull pranks together, and even get in trouble together! Maybe he had a reason for this.
"Hey Darren!" I called out to him, putting away my hopeful emotions so that only the anger showed. Darren turned around and seemed to hesitate before waving at me.
"What's up man?" He called out giving me one of the most pathetic looking smile I have seen yet. I mentally rolled my eyes and got to that point.
"What's up man? What's up with you?" This wasn't going according to plan; I wasn't supposed to snap! I internally slapped myself. Darren however stared at the ground, shuffling his feet in discomfort while biting his bottom lips. I felt a little guilt welling up from somewhere deep within my chest but I forcefully pushed it back.
"Well, Steve I…" Darren's eyes didn't meet mine as he said this. I felt my eyes water up unexpectedly so I laughed bitterly as an attempt to look though. Darren finally met my eyes and it looked like he wasn't telling me something, so I asked him.
"Are you not telling me something here?" I wanted my voice to be tough. I wanted to look like I didn't care much, but my voice cracked making me the perfect victim from a romance drama.
Darren's eyes widened, thinking I was going to cry. "No, well… yes, but it's for your own good!" I raised my eyebrows as Darren flails his arms like a fish out of water.
I couldn't help the bitterness of my voice as I replied him. "My own good huh?" With that last statement a long silence fell upon us.
Staring into his eyes made me realize if he did see me with Mr. Crepsly, how much I could've hurt him. As I open my mouth to apologize, Darren beats me to it by grabbing my hands with one swift motion. I flinched, staring at him questioningly. "Comon! I'll just SHOW you what I've been hiding!"
