How To Train Your Dragon 2 and the HTTYD books inspired me to continue my story and I'm glad so many people are enjoying this and I'm sorry for the very, very long wait. I can't thank you guys enough!

PS: Now to hope my writing has improved in the last couple of years….. On with the story!

Astrid did return the following night, and the night after and many nights after that. It became a sort of habit for both human and dragon to meet up after the sun had set. Astrid would crawl onto Hiccup's back and they would fly across oceans, forests, rivers, lakes and mountains. Hiccup enjoyed these small evening 'adventures' they would have, because every time they went for a flight, something adventerous seemed to happen. Like accidently stirring up Viking villages spread across the land as they flew over them, or avoiding solitary dragons who went for an evening flight as well. This night a flock of seagulls seemed intent on disturbing their peaceful flight as they flew over the ocean.

'Toothless! Seagulls, straight ahead!' Astrid cried out while she pointed at the oncoming birds.

Hiccup hadn't been paying much attention to what was happening infront of him. He was looking at the surface of the water where tasty fish were splashing about. He smacked his lips, stomach rumbling when Astrid's voice made him snap out of his concentration. The moment he looked up a bird smacked straight into his forehead. It bumped off of him and spun around, flapping it's wings in panic. More of them followed and both the girl and the dragon screamed as they passed the squawking birds. He managed to dodge them from left to right, but one of the birds flew right into Hiccup's screaming mouth. He spluttered and spat the bird out.

'Blegh, ptooei!….Urghh' Hiccup cried out, wiping his mouth with his paw. He shuddered.

Astrid saw it all happen. For one second she stared at him, then she burst out laughing. Clutching her sides, tears streaming down her face as she fell flat on her back. As annoyed as Hiccup was with being laughed at, he kept an eye on her, fearing she would fall off. Eventually the laughter subsided into snickering as Astrid sat up and wiped the remaining tears off her face. Hiccup grumbled as his brows furrowed.

'Well….What did that taste like? Chicken?' Astrid asked, not being able to suppress a giggle.

Hiccup growled and made a displeasured, snorting sound.

'There, there, grumpy.' Astrid cooed as she patted him on the head.

A silence followed after that and nothing else could be heard besides the splashing of water and the whistling of the wind. Astrid gave a soft sigh and Hiccup turned his head sligthly, so he could look at her from the corner of one of his eyes.

'You know…It's weird. There hasn't been a raid in weeks. Not since the one where you, well… sort of kidnapped me.'

Hiccup cringed. Is that what she would call it? It sounded to him like she still didn't fully trust him. Did she still think that he, as a human, was killed by a Night Fury?

'Come to think of it.' Astrid continued. 'Everything has changed so much ever since you showed up. The dragons seemed to have changed their tactic's as well. Usually they would just blow things up or set our houses on fire while stealing food that was in plain sight. But on the night that we met, they blocked the doors to the Great Hall and used nets to trap any Viking that was outside. Yep, I got a good view of what was going on in Berk, hanging upside down.' Astrid said, giving Hiccup a sharp look.

He cringed and quickly looked away. This conversation started to make him nervous.

'But I also musn't forget that you pretty much changed my opinion on dragons as well.' She mused. 'I used to think dragons were nothing but mindless, flying, fire-breathing, killing machines. They kill on sight, atleast, that's what Gobber always taught me. And you could have easily murdered me, but you didn't. You seemed really keen on becoming friends with me. All in all, you didn't act like a typical dragon at all!'

Hiccup's ears pricked up and he glanced at Astrid again.

She was silent for a couple of seconds as if she was gathering her thoughts. 'You know…. I find it hard to believe that you are capable of killing a human. You're way too soft for it. So, I'm asking you this, Dragon.' She said, putting extra emphasis on the word 'Dragon.'

She leaned forward so that she could look at Hiccup face, upside down. His eyes met hers as he looked up. He was afraid.

'Did you kill Hiccup?'

He slowly shook his head.

Astrid stared sternly at him, her face stuck in a frown that looked scary, even upside down. This only took a few seconds, but enough for Hiccup to make him feel uncomfortable.

Then the frown on her faced vanished and was replaced with a sad smile. She gave a barely audible sigh of relief. Astrid sat up and the following words made Hiccup's heart jump from joy: 'I believe you.'

On the spur of the moment, Hiccup made a few wild flaps with his wings and roared out of happiness. Astrid had to grab on to his neck to prevent herself from falling off.

'Be careful, you crazy reptile!' She shouted.

Hiccup grinned a toothless grin as his heart made crazy loops in his chest. He felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

But the happy moment was cut short when a piercing roar echoed across the ocean. Hiccup's pupils turned into slits when the noise reached his ears. Both girl and dragon went silent as they looked around, trying to find the source of the sound. Just then Hiccup noticed the fog bank on the horizon, indicating that they were close to the Dragon's Nest. In the intense moment of the conversation Hiccup had not paid attention to his surroundings and in a force of habit had flown back to the dragon's hide-out.

Dark figures started to appear in the mist, rapidly gaining in size as they drew closer to Hiccup and Astrid. They were heading straight for them. Hiccup's mouth fell open in shock.

'Oh Gods, please… Not now, not now!' He anxiously muttered to himself. He noticed Astrid flattened herself against his back, trying to make herself as small as possible. He felt her ragged breathing against his neck, she was scared.

'Toothless, let's get out of here!' She whispered into his ear.

But it was too late. Even a Night Fury, the fastest dragon of them all, could not outrace the oncoming dragons for they were too close. Hiccup braced himself, he would make sure that Astrid would be safe, even if it meant that he had to fight against the dragons. It was not something that he would enjoy doing, for he had become very fond of them, especially Indigo. But still, he felt more like a human than a dragon, even if his outer appearance suggested otherwise. Plus, Astrid was no match for a dragon without any weapons on her, though she would hate to agree with that.

Hiccup gritted his teeth when the first few dragons were only a couple of meters away from them. He could feel Astrid digging her fingernails into his skin. He opened his mouth to roar, but just as he was about to give a shriek, the dragons zoomed past them. Not even paying the slightest of attention to them, Monstrous Nightmares, Gronckles, Hideous Zipplebacks and Deadly Nadders flew by. Followed by Terrible Terrors giving frightened high-pitched growls. There was fear hanging in the air.

Hiccup looked at the disappearing dragons as he gave a confused growl. He could feel Astrid's tension lessen as she sat up and looked at the same direction Hiccup was staring at.

'W-what was that all about?' She murmered.

Hiccup cocked his head in confusion. This did not feel good. What had happened at the Dragon's Nest? He looked at the misty peaks in the distance. Now that the dragons were gone it was eerily quiet. Were the dragons heading to Berk for another raid? But why? The nets that they had stolen in the last raid were being put to good use. They managed to catch enough fish for the Queen AND themselves. He had to find out what was going on. Astrid had no choice, she had to come with him to the Dragon's Nest.

She put a hand on his head. 'Toothless, take me home. Please?'

Hiccup shook her hand off his head and continued flying towards the misty peaks, rapidly flapping his wings.

'What are you doing, crazy reptile?' Astrid shouted. She was getting really angry with him, even giving him a few smacks on the head. But now that he was a dragon, he barely felt it thanks to his tough skin and scales.

'I'm sorry Astrid,' Hiccup growled in his own Dragonese language. 'But I've got to get to the bottom of this…'

They plummeted into the thick fog and zigzagged between the sea stacks. Astrid kept quiet, she was wise enough to control her temper for the moment. A few minutes later they entered the main entrance of the Dragon's Nest. Hiccup flew swiftly, but quietly through the winding tunnel. It seemed not all dragons had left the nest. The ones that stayed were cowering in the corners of the gigantic cave. Hiccup could smell their fear and he was beginning to feel frightened as well. Finally they reached the inner chamber. The Queen's chamber. Hiccup quickly took a sharp turn to the right and landed on a shadowy platform somewhere in the middle of the chamber. They had a good view of what was happening without being seen themselves.

'What is this place?' Astrid whispered.

Hiccup could hear the beating of wings. Dragons were approaching the chamber. He looked up and saw them, their claws filled with food that could only have come from Berk. They were carrying sheep, cows and pigs, dropping them in a central pit that was shrouded with mist.

'They aren't eating any of it?' Astrid had a confused expression on her face.

Just then Hiccup saw a familiair face entering the chamber. It was Snort. He didn't seem to have brought anything with him. Snort looked rather upset, he hovered over the central pit for a few seconds and regurgitated a small fish into the pit. Suddenly a furious roar echoed through the cave.

'You dared to bring me fish?' a voice shrieked.

Out of the mist the gargantuan head of the Queen popped out, jaws wide open. Snort panicked and tried to flee but the Queen was too fast. Her jaws slammed shut and he got swallowed whole. Astrid recoiled and Hiccup snapped his eyes shut and turned away. Poor Snort….. He thought to himself.

'This is a final warning to all you miserable ants! If I taste even a single fish head, I will roast all of you!' The Queen roared, disappearing in the mist again.

'What….is that?' Astrid asked, deeply distressed.

The Queen's head appeared from the mist again. Her nostrils flared as she sniffed the air.

'What….. Is… This?' She hissed. 'I smell…. A human! Intruder! Intruder!' The Queen screeched. Her six eyes caught sight of Hiccup and Astrid, peeking around the corner. She narrowed her eyes.

'You….' She spat, looking at Hiccup. 'You traitor!'

The Queen lunged at Hiccup, who took flight. He managed to evade her snapping jaws. As quick as he could he flew towards an opening in the ceiling of the chamber. Other dragons quickly followed, panicked by the rage of the Queen. Hiccup shot out into the open, moonlit sky and with tremendous speed and effort, flew back to the canyon as fast as he could. Astrid was holding on for dear life. That was way too close!

'It totally makes sense!' Astrid talked out loud, enthusiastic by this sudden ephiphany. 'It's like a giant beehive. You guys are the workers and that's your queen. It controls you!'

They were gliding just above the tree tops now, having left the Dragon's Nest far behind them. Fearing for Astrid's safety, Hiccup had decided to drop her off close to the village. He worried that dragons would be following them and he didn't want Astrid to get snatched up by a panic-stricken dragon. He sadly remembered the last time he 'visited' Berk. The moon was hidden behind the clouds, so his glittering scales would not betray them now. But Hiccup wasn't taking any chances. Reaching the border of the forest, Hiccup glided downwards, making a soft landing on the grass. He trotted towards some bushes and peeked through the thick branches.

The remaining dragons were still in full assault. Spitting fire and slashing with their claws. Fear of the Queen's wrath had made them careless. The grasped every piece of edible stuff they could find, almost not caring about the equally dangerous Vikings swinging their swords and axes at them. Every now and then a dragon would fly off, clutching a terrified cow or sheep in their claws. Hiccup gave a soft whine, this surely would ruin any hope of peace between human and dragon if the attacks continued at this rate. Teaching the dragons how to fish with nets hadn't solved anything! He was back to square one. How on earth would he be able to establish peace between the two species now? The Gods had put too much faith in him. He could not do it. He was no hero, no saviour. He was one of the fastest and strongest dragons of them all and still he was just as useless as ever. Hiccups ears drooped and he felt like crying.

Astrid leapt off Hiccup and crouched beside him. 'This is not good. Not good at all!' She whispered. 'What do we do now?'

Hiccup sadly shook his head and stared at the ground. He felt too depressed to come up with any clever plans. Suddenly the bush infront of them lit on fire. Astrid yelped and fell backwards. Hiccup quickly pulled up one of his wings to cover both him and Astrid. A random flamethrower had ignited the leaves and was quickly spreading across the rest of the foliage. Their cover was blown.

'Hiccup! There you are!' a voice shouted from up above, making both human and Night Fury freeze in their tracks.

Oh no. Oh dear, oh dear! It was Indigo. In normal circumstances he would have been thrilled to see her. Her leg had finally healed after lots of rest and treating it with the herbs they had found, so it would come to no surprise that she would be part of the raid. Hiccup's mind was racing. How was he going to get himself out of this mess?

Indigo landed on the ground and quickly walked towards them. 'I was so worried about you! Where on earth have you been?' She asked.

Hiccup quickly grabbed Astrid in his paws, pressed her against his chest and folded his wings around her, trying to keep her out of sight. 'I uh…Uhm…. I-I was….around…' He stuttered.

'For a moment there I thought you were wounded. I thought the Vikings had captured you.' She took a few more steps forward. In the meantime Hiccup tried to scramble backwards, still holding Astrid tightly. She was squirming in his grasp. What Hiccup did not realise was that she was slowly starting to suffocate in that tight little space. The fieriness of the flames and Hiccup's body heat made it feel like she was in an oven and oxygen was running out. She started stomping him with her fists, which made Hiccup toss and turn around.

'Are you okay, Hiccup?' Indigo asked.

'Y-yeah, ofcourse! Couldn't be better. I…Woah!' He shouted as Astrid managed to free herself. She tripped over his tail and fell right in front of the Deadly Nadder, gasping for air. The female dragon shrieked, the spikes on her head stood straight up. She jumped backwards in the air, flapped her wings and landed a few feet farther away.

'A human, a human!' She roared with panic in her eyes. She opened her mouth, ready to breathe fire.

'Nooooooooo!' Hiccup screamed, he leapt over Astrid and stood infront of her, using his body as a shield. He raised his wings and arched his back, trying to look bigger than he was. 'Don't hurt her!' He unsheated his teeth and snarled at the surprised Nadder. Indigo stared at Hiccup, absolutely shocked.

'Hiccup…. What are you doing?' The dragon whispered. Hiccup winced, he could hear the hurt in her voice. This wasn't the first time that he had protected a human. 'Indigo, please listen to me. She won't hurt you, I promise!'

'Hiccup, step aside!' Indigo growled.

The human dragon gulped. He had never seen Indigo angry before. It was almost as terrifying as an angry Astrid. 'No. No, I won't.' He replied. 'This human is my friend and I will protect her if I have to!'

Tears started to appear in the yellow eyes of the Nadder. Hiccup felt a pang of guilt in his heart and he looked away, afraid to see the expression on her face 'She's your friend?' Indigo asked. 'She's your friend?' Snarling this time. 'How could you do this to us? How can you betray us like that? They've killed so many of us!'

'And dragons have killed hundreds of them!' He shouted back, tears started to prick in his eyes as well.

'Why did you say it like that? You ARE a dragon! Indigo retorted with gritted teeth.

'No I'm not!' He roared back.

Indigo did not know how to reply to that. She stood there, mouth hanging slightly open, wings dropped on the ground as if she didn't have the strength to pull them up. Astrid had no idea what was going on. She was lying on the ground, covering her head with her arms in a protective manner. She peeked up and looked at the Night Fury and the Deadly Nadder, who seemed to be in a heated argument.

'I'm….' Hiccup continued, taking a deep breath before he spoke again. 'I'm not a dragon. I'm….I'm a human being. The Gods transformed me into a dragon because…..Because I…..Killed a dragon.' He could hear Indigo gasp in horror and he winced, but continued anyway. 'The reason Jet isn't here is because of me… I killed him….. And I was punished for it. This town, this is where I grew up. Berk is my home and I swore to myself that I would become the Viking my dad could be proud of….. I would slay every dragon that dared enter here. But then, when I became a dragon myself, I learned that you guys were not who I thought you were. I could never imagine that dragons could be kind…..smart, friendly, supportive of one and another. You just were looking out for yourselves and your family, just like we do. And I could have made a difference in this war…. But I stubbornly chose not to.'

Tears were streaming down his face, but still he couldn't look her in the eye. Shoulders shaking and hanging his head low, he let all the grief, that had been tormenting him, wash over him.

'And I am sorry, I'm so sorry what I have put you through, Indigo. But I can't kill a human. I just can't! They are my people! And I know all of this sounds insane, but you have to believe me!' He finally looked up. 'Please….'

Indigo stared at him for a few seconds. She had been crying as well, he could tell by the tear stains on her cheeks. She slowly shook her head and took a few steps backwards. This was too much for her, she didn't want anything to do with Hiccup anymore. She stretched out her wings ready to take off.

But before she could do that a swishing sound filled the air, which made both dragons turn their heads. A pair of bolas came spinning towards them and hit their target. Indigo fell to the ground with a terrible screech. Her legs were all tangled up with ropes. She tried to bite through them, but could not reach them.

'Indigo!' Hiccup screamed and jumped towards her, but immediately stopped dead in his tracks. Angry Vikings were running up the hill, swords drawn. Others were carrying nets, ready to catch the downed dragon. Far in the distance Hiccup saw his father. He was standing on top of a defence tower, using the contraption Hiccup had invented many months ago. It was him who had fired the bolas. Hiccup sprang towards Indigo, trying to gnaw off the ropes, but Indigo pushed him away with her wings.

'Save yourself, Hiccup!' She shouted, temporarily forgetting how angry she was with him. 'It's too late for me!'

'No!' He pleaded with her, but he knew she was right. A couple of yards away he saw another familiair face getting captured. Blister, who was out of fire power, was pinned to the ground by atleast ten Vikings. They tied his paws together and his mouth shut. He was struggling against his bonds, but it was to no avail.

Astrid, in the meantime, stood up and ran towards the Night Fury. With all her might she pushed against him, trying to get him to move. 'Toothless, fly! You have to get out of here!'

Hiccup wailed, but both Nadder and girl wouldn't budge.

'Go!' They both shouted.

Hiccup turned around, took one last look at them and finally flew off. Out of pure frustration, he made an ear-splitting roar.

Astrid watched as the Night Fury flew away. In a matter of seconds he was gone. But she could hear the devestated screech it made, echoing through the air. She gave a soft sigh and turned around. The Deadly Nadder was still lying on the ground infront of her. Nets were thrown on the poor creature and her mouth was bound shut. Astrid felt a knot in her stomach as she looked in the dragon's eyes. They were almost popping out of their sockets from fright.

From the corner of her eye she could see Chief Stoick approaching. He reached the hill top with a stern look on his face. He gazed at the Nadder. 'Put it with the others.' Stoick said grimly.

The Vikings began to pull on the net the Deadly Nadder was in and it gave a screech, though Astrid was not sure if it was a scream of pain or fear. Suddenly she blurted out: 'Stop! You're hurting it.'

All went silent after that. The Vikings looked at her as if she had lost her mind. Some watched Stoick with unease. The chief stared at Astrid, eyes narrowed. She could tell that he was fuming with rage, but somehow he managed to control his anger.

'The dragon? That's what you are worried about? Not the people that were almost killed?' He spoke, with a trembling tone. Astrid knew she had to pick her words carefully.

'Chief Stoick, please hear me out on this. These dragons are not who you think they are. They are defending themselves. I-I know this sounds crazy, but I know why they raid our village. If they don't bring enough food with them, they'll be eaten themselves. There's this gigantic creature on their island and….' Astrid pleaded with Stoick, but he held up his hand to silence her.

'So you've been to the nest?' He grabbed her shoulders and looked her straight in the eyes. 'How did you find it?'

'I didn't. Toothless did. Only a dragon can find the island! I mean….' She knew she had said too much.

'Is that the name you gave to that wretched Night Fury?' Bellowed Stoick. Astrid's eyes widened in shock.

'Do not think I didn't see you try to push it away. Are you defending the same vile reptile that killed my son?'

'N-no, you don't understand. I mean….' Astrid stuttered. She had no idea what to say. She could see the rest of the clan staring at her with anger and contempt. Stoick was absolutely repulsed.

'You have made it very clear which side you are on…You are not a Viking… You are not a Hooligan.' He said, not being able to hide his disappointment. He stomped away towards the village followed by the rest of the clan and the Deadly Nadder trashing around in the net. Some Vikings were shaking their heads as they looked at Astrid. 'Stoick's voice echoed through the air: 'Ready the ships! Tomorrow we will end this war once and for all!'

Moments later she was all alone on the top of the hill. Absolutely devestated, Astrid sank to her knees, burying her head in her hands.

Hiccup was flying as fast as he could. Not because it was necessary, but because he felt like he would explode from frustration if he slowed down. The muscles in his wings started to ache and his heart was beating fast, but he hardly noticed it. Images were flashing before his mind's eye: his meeting with Indigo, his transformation into a dragon, the joyful flights with Astrid, the fear in Indigo's eyes when she was captured….. He shook his head.

His mind was telling him that Indigo's capture was not his fault. But why did he feel so guilty? Why did he feel like a traitor? He was no dragon. He could never kill a human. But flying away meant he left Indigo and Blister for dead, he had betrayed their trust. He could feel a lump in his throat and he swallowed. Again, tears were welling up in his eyes. He noticed he was gasping for air as his body was getting tired from the flight. He was not too far from the cove now, it would be a good place to get some rest and think about what he was going to do next.

He glided downwards and skidded to a halt in the sand. He flopped down on the ground, too badly shaken up to make his resting place more comfortable for himself. He put his paws over his eyes and groaned. What was he going to do?

Hiccup was so caught up in his thoughts that he did not notice how quiet it had gotten around him. Crickets had stopped chirping, the wind no longer whistled and the fish stopped splashing in the lake. One of Hiccup's ears twitched. A weird echoing sound started to develop in the back of his mind. It sounded like something was closing in on him. He pawed at his head, hoping to ban the sound out.

'Having a rough night, little hatchling?' A voice spoke in his head.

'Oooh nooooo…' Hiccup groaned, recognizing who it was. He peeked through his claws and there, leaning over the edge of the cove, was the ghostly Night Fury.

'You're not making it any better.' Hiccup growled.

The ghost dragon jumped down and landed on the ground. He took a few steps forward and stopped, keeping his distance. 'Still the same hot head from last time.'

Hiccup got a better look at the Night Fury. He seemed a little bit different now. He was no longer pitch black, but more of a dark grey. His eyes were no longer pupil less. He could make up two small black slits in the middle. But still, the eyes creeped him out. Smoke was surrounding the dragon, giving him an even more eerie appearance. Hiccup shuddered.

'I have been keeping an eye on you, hatchling. And I must say that I'm rather disappointed by how the situation turned out. It's a shame though, it started out so well. Guess, you still can't shake off the name Hiccup the Useless.' The dragon sneered, a malevolent grin on his face.

Well, that's just great….He may look different but his mood was still as bad as ever.

'Atleast I'm actually trying to do something, instead of floating around useless between two worlds.' Hiccup snapped back at the ghostly dragon. Immediately he put a paw over his mouth in shock, stunned by his own ruthless comment.

Hiccup could hear the dragon gasp. Jet's eyes were wide open, his tiny pupils constricted, making them even smaller than they already were. He stood there for a few seconds before a low rumbling sound started to develop in the back of his throat. In the blink of an eye he charged at the boy dragon, claws outstretched and hissing furiously.

Hiccup yelped and scrambled to his feet, trying to back away. In his hurry, Hiccup tripped and fell flat on his back, wings trapped underneath him. Jet jumped and landed right on top of him, a paw on each side of Hiccup's face and legs on both sides of his hips. Hiccup had no where to go and though Jet had not touched him, he was not too sure if the dragon was tangible or not. He could've slipped away but fear made him unable to move. Trembling, he looked up at the agressive Night Fury.

'AND WHOSE FAULT IS THAT?!' Jet roared as he pushed his face right into Hiccup's. The latter closed his eyes fearfully.

'You are threading on some very thin ice here, Viking! Don't forget, you brought this on yourself!' Jet hissed in a dangerous tone at Hiccup.

Hiccup opened one eye. ' I know.' Hiccup spoke softly, voice cracking with emotion. 'I'm doing everything I can to fix this. But, I don't know what to do anymore… I keep messing everything up.' A single tear trickled down Hiccup's cheek. 'It's all my fault….'

To Hiccup's surprise he saw Jet's expression soften. The ghost dragon sighed, took one last look at Hiccup and jumped off him. The boy dragon rolled onto his belly and stood up, wiping the tear off his face. Jet was watching him from a distance. He seemed a bit calmer now. His brows furrowed as if he was contemplating what Hiccup had said. After a moment of silence he spoke:

'Look kid, I can see what you were trying to do. But it's not working. You have to think bigger than that. Vikings and dragons will have to learn to live together in peace. Or one species will destroy the other. There is NO other way.'

Hiccup hunched his shoulders, ear frills flattened against his neck. That was a lot to take in. How was one little human, or rather, dragon supposed to bring peace? Both dragons were quiet for a few minutes.

'I know you have what it takes.' Jet whispered, averting his eyes.

Hiccup's ears perked up in surprise. Did Jet just give him a compliment?

'You managed to do impossible things. You proved me wrong and in my life, I was never wrong.'

'B-but what did I do?' Hiccup stuttered. He looked at Jet and the ghost dragon stared back.

'You befriended a dragon, stood up against the Queen and gave my kind new hope. I never thought it would've been possible. If you can do that, you can do everything….. Good luck, little hatchling.'

And with that, Jet simply vanished, leaving behind a trail of smoke. Hiccup stared at the spot Jet had been sitting. He frowned. This was all this wretched Queen's fault. With her out of the way there could be some chance of peace, even if it was a little one. And he was not alone! There was a someone out there who could help him. He turned towards the direction Berk was. And perhaps, with some perseverance from Astrid there would be more Vikings willing to help.

'Thanks Jet.' Hiccup whispered. He looked up at the starlit sky. He knew what he had to do.

That's chapter 10 for ya. I promise the next chapter won't take another 3 years to write ;)
