So, I wrote another one shot,

I can't believe how short this is, I think its only like 500 words..

but, I thought it was a cute idea :)

Sitting on Eli's bed, Knee's touching and faces only a few inches apart. "I'm going to win." Clare said in a sing song voice. Eli laughed in return trying to think of a way to make her blink. After Eli won a staring contest between them yesterday, Clare was dead set on beating him.

Clare squirmed trying her hardest not to blink, And Eli raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong Edwards?"

She smiled. "Nothing."

Eli mentally cursed, He could feel his eyes just a few seconds away from blinking. Don't blink, Don't blink, Don't blink. They both chanted over and over again in their heads. Just as he was about to blink he leaned forward and kissed her, Just a soft peck, But it was enough to make Clare blink and lose.

When he pulled away he had a devilish grin and Clare glared at him. "You blinked." He stated the obvious.

Clare crossed her arms over her chest. "That's not fair, You kissed me." Her eyebrows were scrunched together and she had an irritated look on her face, But her eyes told a different story, They were soft and sparkling. He smirked briefly, There was no way she could stay mad at him.

He leaned forward. "It's not my fault that you can't kiss with your eye's open." She sighed heavily and rested her elbows on her knees and her chin in her folded hands.

It was quiet for a moment while Eli stared at her and she tried to think of something witty to say back.

Her lips turned up when she thought of something. "You closed your eyes too." She mentally did a cart wheel, There was no way he could get out of that.

He turned his head to the right slightly. "What makes you say that?"

Her eyebrows knitted together. "When you kissed me, You closed your eyes." She was expecting him to look surprised, Shocked, Defeated, Just anything but smug.

But of course, He shot her one of his irritating, but cute at the same time, smirks. "How would you know? Your eyes were closed."

Dammit she said under her breath, Where did he get such witty comebacks?

A full on smile replaced his smirk, He knew he got her, And she knew there was no way to win when you were up against Eli.

She huffed. "Sometimes you irritate me Eli."

His smile was replaced with a smirk again. "I know."

She was quiet for a second before she leaned forward only a few inches away from his face. "I want a rematch." She said in a determined tone.

He laughed and reached down to grab both of her hands with his and brought them up to his neck. "Or." He shrugged and leaned down to bring their lips closer. "We could just kiss and makeup."

Admit it,

A staring contest between them would SO be like this.
