A/N: I was up until midnight doing homework, and I just wrote this out quickly before I went to bed. Just a small friendship story for Danny and Sam. ^_^ Although this probably wouldn't happen in the show, I thought it would be sweet so I wrote it. Please, do tell me what you think!

Screaming. Blood. Shots fired in the distance. A bloodied face swam in her vision and she was suddenly looking down upon a sea of bodies; bodies that she recognized. Her friends. There was the Colonel, and Daniel, Teal'c, Janet, Cassie, all of them. They were just lying broken and beaten upon the ground. A scream built in her throat but it was silenced as blood rushed down through her mouth. She was choking on it, it was everywhere.

Opening her eyes, Sam stared up at the roof of her tent with wide eyes. Taking deep breaths, she tried to calm herself down. It had only been a dream, it wasn't actually real. The Colonel and Daniel were lying safely beside her and her other friends were back home on Earth. Safe. No blood, no bodies, no injuries.

Shuddering, Sam tried pulling her sleeping bag closer around her which didn't do much since it was already wrapped around her as tightly as it would go. A sudden hand on her chin drew her attention away from the damn sleeping bag, and she turned her head in the direction that the hand wanted her to go. Two sleepy blue eyes belonging to her favorite archeologist stared back at her with a softening glow sparkling inside them.

"Dream?" Daniel whispered softly, the slightest frown of discontentment on his face. She nodded reluctantly, giving him an apologetic smile. He raised his arm and motioned for her to come closer and she scooted up beside him, snuggling into his warmth as he put his arm around her loosely. Like a protective brother. It felt nice to be in the warm embrace of someone she loved.

"Thank you," she whispered back, and she was actually grateful. She got a sleepy murmur in response and smile slightly as he nuzzled his face softly into her hair. Sighing with content, she closed her eyes again, knowing that the arms around her would chase away any bad dreams.
