So I haven't been writing a lot lately... I blame it on my muse deserting me. Here is one of the stories that have randomly come to me while my muse was in the mood. I hope you like it :D

I do not own Star Trek, I just love it to bits!

Dress Up

I hold the frilly purple dress up to myself in the mirror, smiling at my reflection I twirl around. Nodding, I carefully take it off its hanger, pulling it on over my head. It pools slightly at my ankles, but this doesn't deter me as I turn to gaze at the array of shoes. I pick a pair that closely matches the colour of the dress, pulling them out and putting them on my feet. I stand and look critically at my image. I grin and wink, my reflection winking back, a twinkle in its eye.

I walk slowly to the bureau where the makeup lays. I sit on the stool and gaze at the choices. I pick the foundation first, using a big brush to spread it across my nose and all over my face. I sneeze as the powder gets up my nose. I giggle as I move onto the next goodies. Purple eye shadow liberally applied on my eyelids, a streak of bold blush to highlight my cheekbones and a coat of red gloss on my lips make the look complete. I eye the mascara but decide to leave that for another time.

I grab the hair gel next, scooping out a small amount and spread it between my hands before running them through my hair, styling it carefully. I wipe my hands on the small towel before reaching for a decorative hair clip on a small shelf to the side of the dresser. I clip it into my hair over my right eye. I look into the mirror and hardly recognize the beautiful reflection as me. But this feels good... right. I walk back over to the larger mirror, doing another slow twirl, the gauzy fabric swirling around me, soft on my legs.

A gasp at the door halts my movements and I slowly turn to look at my mother. Her brown eyes are wide and her eyebrows are drawn in consternation.

"What are you doing?"

I smile, twirling for her, "Aren't I beautiful Mother? I look just like you."

She sags slightly against the door, shaking her head, "Oh Spock."

Sooo what did you think? Feedback appreciated
