summary: "What are we going to do?"
A small white hand runs through blond hair—the other grabs orange fabric by the neck and pulls it closer. Small pink lips, small dimples—everything, small, he muses—and long luxurious midnight black hair, today in pigtails. His tongue is pressed against hers, lips brushing softly together, gentle but urgent. She tastes like fruit and her skin is soft in the places that he can see: on her face, her neck, her slender wrists, all so tantalizingly smooth. She's soft everywhere, as far as he can tell, from the softness of her chest pressed against his, to the soft indentation of her waist, to her hair.
She notes that she can still smell his detergent and soap even above all the ugly cleanser smells and the dirty bucket of soapy water that lies in the corner, poorly illuminated by the overhanging closet light. Her partner is hunched over, almost in half, so that he doesn't bump his head on the low ceiling. His hands are calloused from wrestling and feel good against her cheeks.
Suddenly she gasps and pulls away, biting his lip in the process. Putting a hand to his torn lip, he pulls back a little as well, looking into her panicked violet eyes, and raises his eyebrows in mock alarm. He smirks a little at the terrified expression on her face, milky cheeks rose-pink with exertion, but they wait with baited breath (hers real and his fake), as the click of high heels dies away toward the end of the hallway. His brain automatically generates a number of excuses as to why he's standing here with her, kissing in the janitor's closet.
"This is not funny!" she whispers urgently, swatting him on the shoulder. "That could have been Ms. Walker—or Ace!" She breathes out silently in horror, thinking that there would be a lot of explaining to do if her boyfriend walked in to see her lips swollen and hair mussed standing about two inches from his sworn enemy—Beetles.
He frowns slightly and puts his hand on her face, turning it to look at him. "Don't talk about him when you're with me."
She looks up at him, at first disapproving at his jealousy, but the expression fades into weary affection. "I love you," she admits.
"I know."
"Not Ace."
"I know."
"What're we going to do?"
"I don't know, come here…"
"Wally, I think—"
"Just think how long you could go without all this, darling."
I suck. I know. I haven't written since like four months ago. I have an excuse this time, I swear! Our computer busted up (literally, don't ask) and my dad's company hasn't been able to replace until about a week ago.
Anyway, this is a prequel to the L-Word, when Ace and Kuki are dating in high school. I'm actually quite satisfied with it, it's nice and er, short?
Jealous Wally is cute, and Kuki—well, she's always cute.
Lovely love,
Alli
