Chapter 12 - Never Forgotten

It was the one year marker of Lokie's death, Mia was picking flowers for the anniversary of her brother's death, although she saw it differently; she saw it as him continuing on a journey without her. There were still tears in her eyes, she couldn't completely control herself but she did the best she could. Of course Iori was there, she hugged him constantly, he nuzzled her in return, but he knew there was only so much that he could do to ease her sadness. Iori never left her side, no matter what, and she was grateful to him, always stroking his body and praising him. Mia kissed his forehead, she took the flowers, wrapped some twine around them, and said, "These will do. We'll get some driftwood from his burial site and set them out for him along with a paper lantern that Yoma's making." Iori nodded and followed her inside once more, since the knowledge of her being pregnant, she had taken many precautionary steps. Iori lugging around heavy items was the foremost on the list, and she was able to get a wagon crafted for him to help out.

Mia placed the bundle of flowers on the kitchen table with the rest that she had found, she took a seat, sipped the tea that she had made, and sighed. Once more Iori was there, and she patted him, "The ones we love are never truly forgotten Iori, they reside in our memories and our hearts but the pain is never easy." The Grunt nodded while sitting next to her, she sipped her tea, finished it, and then headed to the bedroom. "Come on, I'm a little tired. Sleep with me?" He barked happily, she grinned at him, and when they entered, Iori immediately laid down in front of her, watching the door for any intruders or enemies while his mistress slept soundly.

Hours later, she awoke, her mind was fuzzy as was her vision but she looked around, the sun had set further through the sky, and the house was still quiet. "Have you seen Jak Iori?" The Grunt looked over his shoulder at her, and only huffed. "He's late...let's go find him." Immediately Iori jumped off the bed, she followed after him, she was still groggy but it was Iori who was keeping his distance as she hadn't realized that there were floating spheres of dark eco around her; protecting her. The door was pushed open, she emerged into the late afternoon light, those spheres never disappeared, they only turned transparent, others may not have seen them but Iori could, and he knew it was the eco protecting what lay inside her. Mia followed her Grunt through the forest, into the city, and straight to the Naughty Ottsel.

As they entered, she looked around, there was no one there, it was empty, and now she began to worry. "Can you find his scent?" Iori nodded, sniffed the ground, and ran around in circles trying to pick up a scent, he stopped, found one, and growled. "I may not be able to understand you but I know that growl. I knew I should have never believed her. Let's follow it." Iori barked and walked in front of her, following the scent of Keira. Meanwhile those orbs were still there, nudging her every time she strayed from the path, that grogginess never left her, she could only see through a haze. "I'm so tired..." She rubbed her face while she pushed onward through the city, into the sewers, and she began to follow Iori much more closely now. The Grunt came to the knowledge that those transparent orbs of dark eco were only manifested to protect her and not harm him so he was allowed to walk close to her. She put her hand on top of his head to keep her balance as they trudged through the water, sparks of dark lightning radiated out from every step she took; warning other vermin to steer clear of her. "Where could he be?" Her green companion grunted and they came upon the fallen statue, she could see that Jak, Daxter, and Tess were all tied up. "What happened to you three?"

They were trying to tell her something but couldn't because of the gags, she squinted at them, and felt a presence behind her. She turned but Iori knocked her out of the way, as she fell, Jak's muffled scream was heard but those floating orbs cushioned her fall gently. Mia sat up and looked at the wrench that had taken down her Grunt. "IORI!" She was going to get up to rush to him but Keira placed the pipe wrench in her path, "Move! I have to help him!"

"You'll do no such thing. I'm finally going to take care of you and those abominations inside."

"Who told you?"

"I can see the symptoms!"

"What symptoms?"

"You're tired all the time, those things inside are sapping your energy because they're going to kill you when you give birth, and then we're going to have some crazy sages again!"

Mia placed her hands protectively over her abdomen, her eyes narrowed at Keira, "You'll do no such thing! They're not evil!"

"THEY ARE! YOU USE DARK ECO, THEY'RE EVIL!"

"They're not even born yet!"

"I DON'T CARE. I'M GOING TO END MAIA'S REIGN WITH YOU!" Keira swung that wrench straight towards her abdomen but Mia was still groggy, she was slow, and the only thing she could do was turn around. The wrench smacked into something squishy instead of her back, Mia glanced over her shoulder, and Keira was staring into a floating orb of dark eco. Jak and the ottsels stared, even Mia was surprised to see it acting on its own. "WHAT THE HELL?!" The orb pushed back, the wrench forced Keira to back up, the orb floated over to Iori, it bopped him on the head, when nothing happened, it zapped him; immediately he sat up shaking his head. That same orb floated back to Mia, she opened her hands, it hovered there as she brought it to her face.

"Who are you?" It glowed warmly and Mia smiled while tears appeared on her face, "Thank you so much. I'll give you all the love that you deserve." She hugged it to her chest, it glowed once more, as she allowed it freedom, it hovered in front of her; and it was joined by more. Keira backed up as they spun around Mia and formed into a figure; a figure that they were all too familiar with. It was an apparition of Maia, she looked at Mia, hugged her, and proceeded to move towards Keira, the green haired mechanic screamed, and bolted down the sewer. Mia smiled at the apparition as it made the motion of giggling but she looked down the tunnel, Keira was thrown back by something red. "Oh? Red eco? Is that Akatsu?" Maia shook her head as those red flames merged into the familiar figure of her brother. Mia placed her hands over her mouth in shock, those tears continued to flow, and this apparition of Lokie stood in front of her, he wiped the tears away, and hovered over to those that were gagged. In a swift motion, they were freed, Jak ran over to Mia, he hugged her, while the two ottsels ran onto Iori's back. The Grunt sat there and watched everything with interest. Lokie's red apparition joined Maia's, they wrapped their hands together, and vanished but not before Mia was able to read their lips.

Jak shushed her as she cried, "I was worried about you."

She sniffled, "I'm alright now. What happened?"

Daxter piped in, "The bitch tampered with my open alcohol bottles!"

Tess nodded, "They were some kind of sleeping pills, she drugged us, and then we woke up here."

"I couldn't use any eco, I was too fuzzy headed," replied Jak. She nodded, "Those...figures..."

"It was Maia and Lokie. They protected me from beyond the grave."

"Did they say something to you?" She nodded, "What was it?"

Mia smiled while Iori rubbed his head on her leg, she patted him, "Maia said that she will always protect me when I cannot protect myself." Jak smiled since the insane sage seemed to have regained some of her sanity, "And...Lokie said that he'll never be forgotten and to always look towards the future as the past will pull me down." She sniffled once more, "He also said that he loves me and was able to see me grow into a strong person." Mia cried into Jak's chest, he rubbed her back until she was able to quiet down. "I'd like to go home now."

"Sure thing Mia." Jak helped her through the sewers with Iori guiding them as well as those translucent dark eco spheres. As they entered the city once more, the ottsels headed towards the Naughty Ottsel to find out which bottles had been tampered with while Jak took Mia home. The moment that they entered, she grabbed all the flowers. "I thought you wanted to rest?"

"Akastu and Yoma are at the sight of Lokie's burial. We're going to send off flowers and lanterns...it's been one year."

Jak smiled, "I'll come with you." She nodded while the flowers were loaded onto the wagon for Iori, he immediately ran towards it with with his tongue lolling out; the Grunt slipped into his harness easily and began to pull it through the forest. Mia smiled and so did Jak, "He really likes to help you out huh?" She nodded while he grinned, "I'm glad."

They reached the location, Akatsu and Yoma had prepared the driftwood with the lanterns, Mia took the flowers and placed them on the wood. They all set them out at different times, it was the first time that she was able to see such beauty in the lanterns, there were tears on her face, and Jak wrapped his arm around her. She took in a few shaky breaths but steadied herself as Akatsu said, "I may not have known you Lokie but mother speaks highly of you. My only regret is never meeting you but with all the stories that Yoma and mother say, I feel like I've been able to know you as they have." Mia smiled at her Centurian son, Yoma stepped up, and sighed.

"Uncle..you so good to me. You in better place, better journey. We meet again one day and return here every year. You never forgotten."

It was then that Iori howled, they all stared at him, and when he stopped; they could still hear it echoing across the ocean. Mia smiled and patted him, her eyes turned towards the water, "Maia the Sage of Dark Eco gave me my vision back Lokie. I only wish that I could have been able to see you before you left but I'll always treasure the memories that I have of our time together. They are precious to me and with those memories I can put you to rest. I'll let you go so that I can live for the future." Jak didn't need to say anything as it had already been said but he decided to say something anyway.

"Lokie you're going to be another uncle, so if you are out there watching us, then I wanted to let you know. You will never be forgotten and always cherished as Yoma said...you are family." A cool wind blew through the area, it carried the driftwood further into the waters until they spontaneously combusted. Everyone stared and Mia smiled.

"He has heard us." They all nodded, once the fires turned into distant dots, they left the area to return to their forest home. Once inside, Mia immediately went to the bedroom and Jak became worried while Yoma and Akatsu held the same look.

"She's been sleeping a lot. Do you think she's sick?"

"No." They looked at Yoma, "Iori good to her. She no sick just tired from stress. Mother will be better." They nodded while Yoma began to make some food for her. Jak had asked what he was making and Akatsu watched him cook, "I make porridge. Mother like porridge and easy on stomach and good for little ones!" Jak laughed as did Akatsu as they watched him cook so that they could do the same for Mia when he wasn't around. "Mother fed porridge. Before yakow, no teeth so porridge. She taught me to make it and I always make for her." Jak nodded while he continued to watch closely on how Yoma made the same porridge that Mia liked. Once it was finished, he set it aside to cool down, "She like it with yakow milk and berries." Yoma retrieved some berries, he rinsed them well, and placed them on top of the porridge while adding a touch of yakow milk. "All ready! She like it cold at night and warm in the morning. Very important to know." Both of the males nodded in unison as he placed the food in the cooling area so that she could eat it when she was ready. "I go to work now. Akatsu come!"

"Of course brother! See you later Jak!"

"Have fun you two!" They left with smiles on their faces while Jak entered the bedroom. Iori was on the bed protecting her, so he snuggled up behind her, she moved closer to him, he draped his arm over her side, and kept his hand on her stomach. He smiled while she pressed it further on, as if she wanted additional protection.

Mia was awake at dawn, she had eaten her porridge that she neglected the night before, and left the bed; she had so much energy and felt so refreshed that she simple wanted to do something. When she exited the room, Iori was there, his tongue lolling out, and she giggled at him, "Alright then. Let's see what they've brought us today." He barked at her, it startled Jak awake, he saw Mia walking out of the room, and the porridge dish was gone. He groggily rubbed his eyes but a smile was on his face and he quickly followed them. Mia saw Aeon in the kitchen, his face was worried, and Ryker's egg was still but there were cracks in it. "What's wrong?"

"I don't know. He was going to hatch last night and then when it started, it stopped. I didn't know what to do so I came here. Iori let me in."

Mia nodded as Jak met up with them, "Let me see him." Aeon handed the egg over but there was another knock on the door, Jak opened it, and saw Tehanu. She stated that she came to make sure Aeon was okay, he let her in, and the Wastelander patted his shoulder while Mia held the egg in her hands. Mia closed her eyes while Aeon watched her closely, she concentrated on the life form inside the egg, and opened her eyes.

"Can you help him?"

"I'll do my best."

"Okay." Tehanu kept her hand on his shoulder while Aeon watched as Mia held the egg in her hands, she cupped it gently but firmly, and allowed dark eco to flow into the egg. "Are you sure it's okay to do that?"

"I don't know. I'm winging it here as I've done in the past when I didn't know what to do. It's how you learn." He nodded and immediately brought out his note pad, he jotted down what was occurring and watched as the egg glowed with dark eco. Jak was watching intensely as she placed the egg on the counter, a few minutes went by, and Aeon sighed. "Hold on. Never lose hope until the very last second." Aeon looked at her with watery eyes, she watched the egg intently, and suddenly the shell fell off from the Stinger. It uncurled its tail, yawned, and stuck its tongue out at Aeon; the ex-Freedom Fighter burst into laughter and tears while Ryker turned to look at Mia. He bobbed his body up and down and she smiled, "You are quite welcome Ryker. You just needed a little extra nudge huh?" The Stinger scuttled up to her, rubbed his tail on her skin gently, and scuttled quickly across the table towards Aeon. He jumped from the table and wrapped his legs around Aeon's face, Tehanu stared in shock as did the others but the male's muffled response made them laugh.

"Ryker...can't...breathe..." The metal head was pried off of his face by Aeon, he put the small Stinger on his shoulder, "There. That's better. You can stay there, okay?" It jumped onto the top of his head and Aeon sighed while those yellow eyes curled up in joy. "Fine. You can have my head. I guess I don't need a hat if I've got you." Every one chuckled as he looked at Mia, "Thank you so much!"

"You're welcome." Mia turned to Tehanu, "How goes the search for an egg?"

"Still a work in progress. How are you feeling? I heard you had a sleeping episode."

"I'm fine now."

"Good. People wouldn't know what to do if they found out their Mother of Metal Heads was ill."

Mia laughed while Jak smirked, "I'm sure they'd throw all of their Metal Heads at me and hope for a miracle."

"Yes, they would do that," replied the Wastelander. Everyone chuckled once more while one of her pieces of armor glowed, "I need to go. I'm needed in Spargus. Until next time Mother of Metal Heads."

"Likewise Wastelander." The woman smiled at her while leaving the house to return to her native desert, Mia looked at Aeon, "So?" He stared at her, "How goes the courtship?" The male's face turned crimson which made her laugh and Jak snickered while Iori barked. "Didn't I tell you she's better for you than Keira?"

"Yes you did."

"Good. Now take Ryker for a walk so he can see everything."

"I will! Ready to go see the city Ryker?" The Stinger bobbed up and down while making sure to keep his stinger raised so that it wouldn't harm any one. "I'm off. Thank you again Mia. The second book is almost done and ready for publishing."

"Oh good! Do you think you can sign my first one?"

"You bought one?"

"Of course I did!" Jak retrieved it for her from the library, he handed it to Aeon who opened the cover and signed it. "Thank you so much Mister Author."

He laughed, "I'll get you the first edition of this book and the second one and I'll sign them both. You deserve it."

"Thank you Aeon. Now go enjoy your son!"

"I will!" He left while Jak grinned and Iori barked, the three of them smiled at one another until Mia's stomach rumbled. She chuckled while the hero went to make breakfast for her and the two that resided inside of her body. Mia was handed a bowl of stew, she ate it carefully while looking at Jak, who was smiling at her.

"What?"

"I was wondering if you had names picked out."

"I do."

"Can I hear them?"

"Of course you can. I promised myself that I would name my son after Lokie and my daughter after Maia in honor of them. When we have another son his name will be Gol and the next daughter will be Sandy in honor of Sandover Village." Jak smiled at her while Iori rubbed her leg, she patted his head while eating her soup, she finished, and looked up at him, "What?"

"You're so sweet." Mia only smiled while she got up to get another helping of stew and this time she made sure to put extra so that she could sate that hunger she felt in her stomach. "You're eating a lot more than you should. Are you alright?" Mia nodded while eating the bowl once more, Jak only finished his, and watched her eat. It was at this point that he noticed the top of her shirt was starting to hug more tightly and he smirked to himself while he looked at Iori. The Grunt grinned at him and pawed her leg, she took a spoonful of stew, and fed it to Iori; who munched on it happily.

Jak headed into the city while Mia stayed home, she sat in the front lawn, and breathed in the fresh air. "Wanna go for a swim?" Iori nodded, Mia grinned and followed him through the forest until they reached the river that connected to the waterfall. She pulled off her clothes until she was only in her undergarments, she stepped into the water, but was unable to successfully do it slowly as Iori jumped in. She laughed at him while splashing water on him and he did the same to her until he spotted the fish, "Oh? Those would be good for dinner don't you think?" Iori nodded vigorously as he began to chase the fish around, she laughed at his antics while she moved further into the water.

Mia noticed that she was beginning to show and she smiled warmly at way lay growing inside, her magenta eyes turned onto Iori, he had a mouthful of fish, and wore a look of pride as he swam around. She laughed, "How am I supposed to get those home silly boy?" He grunted but he still wore that look of pride, "You did very good! Good boy Iori!" He grunted again while walking onto the shoreline and dumping the fish on her clothes. "IORI!" She laughed at him while he sat by and grinned at her before running towards her, she laughed hysterically as he jumped over her, and landed in the water. Mia was happy with Iori, she swam up to him, and the two paddled around the water until the sun reached the middle of the sky. "Time to go home smelling like fish." He grinned as she exited the water, she wrapped the fish up in her clothes, and picked up the heavy makeshift bag. She placed it on Iori's back and kept her hand firmly on it so that it wouldn't open while they slowly made their way back to the forest home.

Once there, she entered through the gates, there was a male standing there, and she was going to say something to him but Iori looked up at her; she immediately closed her mouth. Instead they crept through the back area, once inside, she put the fish on the floor in the kitchen, dropped to her knees, and followed Iori to her bedroom. The Grunt closed the door, sat by it, and watched as she showered, and got dressed into her navy pants, black boots, and snug fitting white tank top. Mia dropped to her knees once more, Iori nodded, she opened the door, and looked around for any weapon that she could use but there were none so she conjured up dark eco spheres. The green Grunt nodded once more and she smiled at him while they both crept towards the door. Mia was curious as to why Iori was wary of the strange male outside, so she motioned to Iori that she wanted to peek through the window, and he shook his head, instead he gently put his mouth on her arm, and lead her into a different room. He took her to the new wing, in the corner, he pushed a section of the wall, it opened up to reveal a secret passage. Iori squeezed in, Mia followed suit, she turnd around to close the secret door, and followed Iori, the tunnel was large enough to sit up straight in but she followed him on her hands and knees with the dark eco spheres used as a light source.

It was many minutes before they exited, she realized that the tunnel lead to the entrance of the forest, she smiled at him, as she shook himself off, and she dusted herself off as well. When she followed Iori to a hill where she was able to see the forest home she shard with Jak, there were now four men standing there staring at the front door. Mia knelt down and whispered, "We need to go now." Iori nodded and nudged her, she looked at him, and the grunt knelt down. "Stay close to the ground." He nodded and she followed suit while they headed towards the exit of the forest, once there, the door slid open, and they both got to their feet. Mia looked over her shoulder and noticed that those men were accompanied by more and one turned his face towards her. She felt a pang of fear as his eyes hardened on her, immediately she followed Iori into the city, and they ran as fast as they could; sometimes pushing themselves too much on their behalf until they could get to the Naughty Ottsel. "We're not going to make it! I'm too slow." Iori balked on his feet while she jumped into a two seater zoomer, he hopped into the passenger seat. "Sorry!" She hollered to the person who owned it, as they ran out of the store yelling, and she took off towards the bar. Once there, she leapt out of the zoomer followed by Iori, they ran inside, and were huffing to catch their breath while Akatsu and Yoma stared at them. Before she could say anything, Iori growled at them, immediately they lead Mia behind the bar, they sat her down in a cubby hole, and told her not to move while Iori sat next to her. A white cloth was thrown over Iori to make it look like a pile of garbage and that's when the men entered.

Mia kept silent as Daxter stated warmly, "How goes there friends?" They were silent, "Okay, tough crowed. You guys want a drink or somethin'?"

"We want the Mother."

"The Mother? What mother?"

"The Mother of Metal Heads. She needs to be sacrificed! She's a poison to our society!"

Daxter rubbed the back of his head, "I've got no idea what your talking about there friend but if ya ain't drinkin' then you need to leave. Bar is for customers only, no loitering." Immediately Tess had snuck away to phone Jak and Torn but the strange men were not deterred as they pointed crude versions of peacemakers at Daxter. He threw up his hands, "WHOA! Hold your yakows! You don't need to shoot."

"She came in here. Where is she?"

"I don't know. I don't see everyone that enters the bar you know."

The first man cocked his weapon, "Tell us or we'll blow your orange little head off."

Daxter gulped but held his ground until Mia ground her teeth together and felt anger well up inside at these men who thought she was poison. Just like others thought Maia was poison to Sandover Village when she only wanted to make her brother happy. Mia patted her stomach, then patted Iori's paw, he licked her hand, and she moved from the cubby hole. She stood there, "You will not harm my friend or my sons."

"There you are. Come with us and no one has to die."

"Die? I'll die if I go with you. If I don't then others will die so someone dies either way."

"NO MORE GAMES!"

Mia's eyes narrowed, "Games? Games?! Games! You think this is a game! You're telling me to go with you so no one in here dies but you want me to go with you so that you can sacrifice me and my unborn children?!" They stared at her, "That's right! I have twins and I'm not about to let some weird cult group take my life so they can satisfy whatever rumor they were told." Mia's magenta eyes flashed purple and dark lightning formed around her body. "If you want me so bad then you're going to have to go through my dark eco." Immediately a giant cloud formed in front of the bar, it solidified into a miniature Metal-Saur, it was easily two times taller than Sig, and roared at them. "Go on, try and kill some one now because once DarkSaur touches you, you're as good as dead since the dark eco will poisioin your body." They were quivering as the Dark Eco Saur charged at them, they all yelled and ran out of the bar, but not before one was able to fire off a shot, it was aimed right at Mia, and she didn't move. Instead the bullet fizzled out before even getting across the counter at her, the DarkSaur looked over his shoulder at her, "Go have some fun." It grinned and immediately chased after them, she moved from behind the counter, Iori barked happily while uncovering himself from the cloth, Akatsu and Yoma stood in shock at her ability. "I'm hungry..." Daxter laughed and watched as Yoma headed into the back to get a berry bowl for his mother while Akatsu stared at her.

"How did you do that?"

"I don't know."

"You solidified dark eco."

"I know honey. I was very angry that they threatened to hurt any one in here but wanted to hurt me too. It was such a hypocritical statement that it made me so angry. I had to do something and since I've been saving up all that dark eco I figured why not make the scariest Metal Head in existence out of dark eco."

He laughed, "I love you mother."

"I love you too Akatsu." Yoma reappeared with a large berry bowl, "And I love you Yoma for making me this much food." Iori barked by her side, she smiled, "I love Iori too because he warned me of the weirdos!" Mia smiled at them, she hugged Daxter and Tess when she returned, "And I love you two orange fuzzballs too. You're my family."

Tess smiled, "Thank you Mia. We're grateful to you."

"Don't mention it. Daxter, you were pretty brave out there!"

"Yeah you were," replied Tess and kissed him. Daxter's tail went straight, and he grinned at her while falling over on his back. Tess laughed, "That's my orange honey pot!" Every one laughed together while Mia finished her bowl, she sighed happily, she patted Iori's head, and Tess sniffed. "You smell like fish."

"Yep. We went swimming then fishing before those weirdos showed up so there's a bunch fish wrapped in my clothes on the kitchen floor. You're welcome to come over for dinner or any time for that matter."

"Thank you so much! We'll definitely come by!"

"Good, you can see the new wing the boys built." Tess squealed in joy while Jak and Torn ran into the bar, they glanced around, and Mia looked over her shoulder, "They were chased out."

"By what?" asked Torn.

The doors to the bar slid open, "By that."

The two men glanced behind them and immediately ran in opposite directions, Jak stared at it while Torn did the same. They watched as the creature of dark eco entered and Mia put up her hand, it nuzzled her hand. "What the hell is that thing?!" exclaimed Torn.

"DarkSaur." The creature grinned at Torn while continuing to nuzzle Mia's hand, "Good boy. Did you get any of them?" He wore a look of sadness, "That's alright. Maybe next time." He grinned, "Ready to go home?" He nodded and dissipated into a dark mist while Mia absorbed him into her system once more. "I made him."

"How?" asked Jak. Akatsu recounted what she had told them and she only grinned while sipping a glass of water that the red Centurian had placed down for her. "I see...remind me not to get you angry at me. I wouldn't want DarkSaur after me." Mia laughed with the others while Torn sat down on the opposite side of her.

"That's impressive Mia."

"I know. I miss him but I have a feeling that I'll see him again."

"When?"

"When it's time to give birth."

"Why?"

"A hunch."

Torn gave a nervous chuckle, "Don't worry. DarkSaur knows who is friend and foe."

"That's comforting."

Mia laughed while Yoma removed the bowl and Jak stated, "You were hungry again." She nodded, "Even after this morning's stew?" She nodded, "Are you alright now?" Mia nodded once again and patted Iori on the head. Jak got up, hugged her from behind, she patted his arm in comfort.

He laughed, "You want me to smoke them?"

Mia's face glowed with joy, "That'd be great!" Jak nodded and Mia hugged him while kissing him at the same time. The hero wasn't prepared for it so he wore a look of shock on his face but soon returned it while Torn only grinned at the pair. When they parted, Jak sat down, and Mia smiled at Torn, "When are you having kids?"

"That's up to Ashlin."

"Okay."

"I visited Lokie's grave, Yoma told me where it was."

He nodded, "He was a good friend and I can't believe it's been a year..."

"I know but he lives on as long as we remember him. He'll never be forgotten." Torn nodded, "Neither will Maia and her brother Gol." He nodded once more, "Now what are we going to do about those wack jobs? They want to sacrifice me because they say that I'm poison to the city and I don't want any of my followers to be hurt or the Metal Heads."

"I'll put the Freedom Fighters on it."

She nodded, "They have crude peacemakers but their bullets don't seem to make it to their destination, they fizzle out about six feet."

Daxter stated, "Take all the time you need. I'll give Sig a call and let him know too!" Everyone agreed and they left to do their separate things but Daxter slid back on the bar.
