Alois Vera:
"Bloody hell, Ciel…"
"Shut up."
"But you're all -."
"Don't say it."
"Really, why can't I -."
"Not another word, Trancy."
Alois's lips jutted out into a pretty little pout. Exhaling, he began removing the green, jelly-like substance from the bottle and into his hands. He lift his sky blue eyes to meet Ciel's, his cheeks twisting in vain attempts to hold back his smile.
"You're as red as a fucking lobster," he declared, rubbing his hands together and inclining his head towards his friend, leering.
Ciel bared his teeth with a hiss, a site that would have been just maybe a bit more intimidating if it weren't for the angry, red tone that covered every inch of visible skin on his body; his chest, his arms, his back, his shoulders, his face. All of it was a screaming, dark pink.
And he had Alois to thank for all of it.
"You're the one who left the sun block at home after insisting we go to the beach, of all places." Ciel's snarled viciously. He closed his eye and turned away from the blonde, revealing the darkest area of his burn – his back. The simple motion of turning was enough to make the skin on his neck and stomach screech in protest. He inhaled sharply and gripped the couch cushion beneath him.
Alois clenched and unclenched his fingers, watching the gel substance on his palm separate into little shapeless globs. "I said it was an accident. How the hell was I to know you'd be so fragile in the sun?"
"I told you I burn easily, you idiot. And you swore you'd remind Claude to bring the sun block."
"Did I? I don't recall."
"… just put the aloe on and get the hell out."
Alois ignored this and instead looked at Ciel's hot flesh. He took note of how his own worse burns never looked so irritable and would be a liar if he denied he felt just a tiny bit of guilt pinch at his chest. Leaning forward, he allowed his cheek to hover above Ciel's shoulder blade, and then he let two surfaces to touch, his cool skin a stark contrast to Ciel's burning back.
"Ah-!" The younger of the two flinched briefly at the contact. The pressure caused that area to flare up sharply, but the coolness of the other's cheek relieved the foul sensation in seconds. He felt Alois's lips curl against his flesh and then the contact was gone, a press of lips replacing it briefly, lightly.
"Ciel, Ciel, you're so delicate," Alois hummed with a smirk, finally applying his hands to Ciel's back. He made sure to keep his movements light and soft, smearing the aloe across his back, reaching all the places the other could not. He soon felt Ciel melt beneath his hands and ease into his touch, but not without sending a sharp glare over his shoulder.
Alois finished quickly. Beaming, he took his pointer and ran it down the span of Ciel's nose in a single, swift motion. "Quit it with the pissy face," he demanded lightly. "I've already decided that we're staying in today and watching movies, so you don't have to be in the sun. I even brought ice cream!"
Ciel faltered. "What? When did I say -?"
"You didn't." Standing, Alois gathered the bottle of aloe and his hand towel and made to leave the room. But not before pecking Ciel on the cheek and murmuring in his ear.
"Don't worry. I assure you, you'll be nursed back to health quite quickly with me around."
Pulling away, Alois left the room, leaving the charcoal haired boy open mouthed and speechless.
A/N: For the Black Butler forum Thursday prompt – Kuroshitsuji characters go to a beach. Erm… well, they WENT to a beach. I just wrote the after effects.
See what I did there with the title? Do you see…? Yeah, I'm not funny.
