O_O I LIIIIVE! XDXD soooo sorry but school is being a BITCH and I can't get any update from my brain to any of my stories even for candy! DX sooo I decided to do something with this brand new obsession of mine called Dynasty Warriors! YAAAY! So0o0o, like everything else I write on here, I don't own Dynasty Warriors, it belongs to Koei of course! I only own this story's plot and NOTHIN else! 8D once again, sorry I died for a while!

By the way, this is my first Dynasty Warriors fanfic on here, so please go a bit easy on me?

Cold

It was a cold, cold winter's night. The blizzard's chilly air rushed through the windows. Shang Xiang shivered violently as her body froze even more. Wu was always a warm place, even in winter, and so she was not yet used to the harsh cold season here in Shu. She already had thick night clothes on, a robe, and 3 layers of blankets!

She didn't know how Liu Bei slept like a baby right next to her! He was actually sweating from the blankets! And his body was practically radiating heat! How was this possible?

At that moment, her husband muttered something in his sleep and turned over so that he was facing her. He wore a loose white night shirt and pants. He claimed before he laid down that night that it was pretty hot. Pretty hot? Shang Xiang was going to get him tested to see if he was human tomorrow!

She looked at his arms and chest. Ah, it would be so great if she could just crawl over there…but she didn't want to ruin his sleep…

Another freezing wind ripped through the room. Liu Bei didn't even wince as he slept. Shang Xiang however, curled up into a ball and shivered even more.

Maybe I should get another layer, she thought and began to rise.

"Hm…?"

Liu Bei stirred. His eyes opened. "Lady Shang Xiang?" his voice was slightly hoarse from sleep, "What are you doing up this late?"

"I-I'm g-g-g-getting a-an-another l-l-layer," Shang Xiang answered as best she could.

His warm hand touched her ice cold arm.

"You're freezing!" he sat up. She could see his concerned face through the dark. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

Ah, he was so warm…

"I-I-I d-didn't w-w-want t-t-to r-ruin y-your g-g-g-good n-n-night s-s-sleep, m-my l-l-lord," she shuddered harder as another draft escaped through.

"A good night's sleep is only good if you've had one as well," he rubbed her arms, trying to warm her up. "Come here." He pulled her back down onto the bed and held her tight.

Shang Xiang sighed in relief as the cold began to slowly seep away. "Thank you my lord," she whispered.

"Of course," Liu Bei murmured, "Good night."

"Good night."
