just a quick oneshot. I got inspired by this awesome Bleach Pairing Generator that doesn't only give you all kinds of pairings, but also a kink to go with it. So fun :D
This was originally written for IkkakuxIchigo, but I thought KenseixShuuhei fit better...

KenseixShuuhei ; straight/straight acting partners

It doesn't hurt anymore, when Kensei whistles at girls. Or gropes them. Not much. Or when they meet up with the guys for a few drinks and Kensei hits on every female in range.

Shuuhei's gotten used to it, somewhat. Understands it, even.

But it still stings a bit, so he smiles a lot and tells the most jokes and certainly drinks the most to cover up for that.

Kensei carries him home afterwards. He doesn't grin, or stagger. Shuuhei knows his guilt-face well. He's still smiling, of course. Laughing at his own jokes.

Kensei doesn't tell him to stop until they're in the bedroom, Shuuhei undressed to his underwear and tucked beneath the blanket, Kensei close. Because he knows that when he stops laughing, he will start weeping.

"I'm sorry." He says. Over and over. And Shuuhei spills his tears and goes to sleep.

He isn't angry. He's gotten used to it. He understands it. It's the way Kensei deals with the fear of not being accepted. Being called ugly names. Being laughed at.

It's not his fault, really, so Shuuhei forgives him and plays his role.

But he knows that in public, he is not Kensei's lover, and Kensei will hit on girls and when asked, Kensei will deny him, will deny them. And although Shuuhei understands, it stings.
