In a Massive Dynamic lab filled with Walter, Olivia, Nina and Broyles, a Massive Dynamic mug on a strange glowing machine disappeared in a small burst of light. A Massive Dynamic employee named Brandon started talking.

"The thing is, to get over there that's, uh, really a misnomer. In truth the two universes are overlapping. And to get to the other side, our universe needs to pass through you, literally. Like... like water passing through a cheesecloth. Our cells need to separate at an atomic level. The problem is when they get back together, they don't come back together with the same cohesion." He paused and looked around the room at the others. Then he grabbed a pen, shielded himself and tapped the mug with it. It emitted an incredibly bright light along with a strange sound and disappeared once again. Brandon broke the silence.

"Somehow, Bell managed to cross back and forth, although precisely how, we can find no record of. But I suspect that whatever methodology, he's crossed so many times that he's become like this coffee cup... Molecularly unstable."

Walter spoke slowly, "as many atoms in each of us... As there are stars in the sky." He paused thought for a second, he wanted to see the teleport at work again, he wondered if the same thing would happen on the other side. Walter grabbed the pen off of Brandon.

"Hey, what are...?" Brandon said. Walter placed the pen on the odd device.

"Teleport it." Walter said.

"Wh-what?"

"Make the machine go!" He responded impatiently. Brandon although he was confused, did as he was told. The pen vanished in a flash.

"Walter this isn't time for-" Olivia started.

"Now bring it back." Instructed Walter. The pen reappeared and Walter carefully placed it into his pocket, making certain it was safe.

In the other universe as Walter was starting up the machine that would take them home again, Doctor Bell and Agent Dunham arrived.

"Walter, they're here." Peter said.

"Is it working?" Doctor Bell asked Walter. Walter looked up from his machine and at the others.

"Yes. It's opening a crack in the door, but we don't have enough power to keep it open."

"Yes, we can do it." Bell said nodding.

"We can't." Replied Walter, slightly distressed, "Olivia doesn't have the power. And-and I haven't thought of a solution."

"Walter-"

"Please don't argue with me, William!" He let out an unhappy laugh, "always thinking you're smarter than me!"

"Walter, I will be the power.

I've travelled between universes so many times, my atoms are ready to split apart with the slightest provocation. You taught me that there are as many atoms in the human body as there are stars in the sky. That's how many atom bombs I am. That should be enough power to get you home." Walter looked with horror at his old friend, then remembered something important.

"No!" Cried Walter.

"No?" Asked William. Walter delicately rummaged around in his pocket, until he found it. The pen.

"What is that Walter?" Peter demanded impatiently. Walter started the sequence and pulled William Bell around beside him. The air in front of them became distorted and wavy, then took a yellowish colour. Suddenly more law enforcement from that universe appeared.

"Freeze!" One of them shouted. Walter placed the pen into the strange atmosphere and the bubble of light grew around them. All at once they were back in their own universe. They were home again and William Bell was alive.
