Not especially bright, somewhat stubborn, seemingly weak-willed.
Atrocious taste in hats and neckwear.
Not perfect in any way, no.

And still, as I stand here, near his bedside, I can't imagine myself serving any other master.

Real gentleman, kind employer, generous friend.
Rich personality, sunny disposition, great sense of honour.
Beautiful smile.
Bright eyes.
Extraordinary man.
Perfect in every way.

I wish I could tell him this.
I wish I could look into his bright eyes, tell him this and see his beautiful smile in return.
I wish.
And someday I will.

Right now I clear my throat lightly when I notice his eyelids starting to flutter.
