Spencer drifted out of the wonderful dream he'd been having and into the waking world. Dragging his eyes open, he glanced around at the empty living room before turning his gaze back on his blanket covered body; his adult blanket covered body. The young man smiled happy to be back to his normal self. That smile dropped however, when he recalled Morgan's little commando rush through the hotel in North Carolina. Reid took a deep breath and then nervously lifted the edge of the blue fleece. The breath he was holding whooshed out at the sight of his usual night clothes; gray sweat pants and a FBI emblazoned t-shirt. Grinning once more, the profiler slowly levered himself into a sitting position. Even though he wanted nothing more than to lay back, close his eyes, and catch some more z's, his bladder was making it perfectly clear that if he didn't get to a bathroom soon, he'd ruin Rossi's couch. And while Morgan might excuse that behavior in a child Reid, he'd never let the adult version live it down. So Spencer planted his feet on the floor and started to…

"Hey Pretty Boy! Bout time you got up!" Morgan greeted as he plopped down beside his friend. "We were starting to get worried."

Reid's forehead scrunched. "Worried? Why would you be worried about me? I couldn't have slept that late. It's only…" he reasoned, glancing at the clock on the intricately carved mantle. "Eleven thirty!"

"Yep" Morgan replied, patting the younger man on the back. "Hotch was getting ready to call Dr. Sawyer to come check on you; make sure you were alright."

"It doesn't feel like I slept that long." Spencer related. In truth it felt like he hadn't slept much at all. He grimaced as his bladder made itself known once more. "Excuse me Morgan." The newly grown Reid heaved himself up on his feet only to fall back onto the couch with a squeak.

"What happened, kid? You alright?" Derek questioned.

"Y-yes" Reid answered. "I, I just didn't remember being so tall."

Morgan snickered. "Don't tell me you're afraid of heights now." he teased.

Spencer scowled at his friend. "Not funny Morgan" he grumbled. He wrapped an arm around one of his friend's. "Now come on. Help me get my balance so I can get to the bathroom or we're both going to be sitting in a puddle."

"EWWW! I did not need to know that, man!" Derek said, scrunching up his nose in disgust. He tossed an arm around the gangly man's waist and slowly brought him into a standing position. He gave Reid a few minutes to adjust to the change in height and then asked, "You good?"

Spencer nodded. "I think so." He turned loose of Morgan's arm wobbling a moment before getting his bearings. Once that feat was accomplished, he took a tentative step. His body shook like a new born foal's but he managed to remain standing. Bolstered by this, he gave Morgan the go ahead to let him go and then shakily made his way out of the room.

"Is my Junior G-Man drunk?" Garcia inquired as she sauntered into the room.

"Nah, he just has to get used to being a giant again." Morgan assured her. Hearing a couple of thuds, he pulled out his cell phone with a smirk. "Man, this is too good to pass up!"

"Don't even think about it!" Hotch warned as he walked up behind the muscular man.

"Awww, come on Hotch!" Derek whined. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!"

"I'm warning you Morgan. You take so much as one picture or a snippet of video and your little birthday suit jaunt down the hotel hallway just might show up on the break room screen as well as your mother's cell." Aaron threatened.

"You, you took video of that?!" Morgan gasped.

"No, I did my Chocolate Adonis!" Penelope gleefully stated.

Derek relaxed a hair at that revelation. "And you wouldn't share that video with anyone, would ya Baby Girl?" he confidently said as he wrapped an arm around her.

"Of course not" Garcia answered before adding, "So long as you don't tease my Baby Bunting now that he's all grown-up again."

"Fine" Morgan huffed. He crammed his cell back in its holder. "Happy?"

"About what?" Reid asked as he wobbled his way back into the room.

Penelope rushed across the room and enveloped Spencer in a bone crushing hug. "Aww! Just look at you all grown-up!" she squeed. She reached up and pinched his cheeks. "You're just as handsome as I remembered!"

"Garcia!" Reid whined as a blush crept up his cheeks.

"Let him go, kitten. He needs to breathe." Rossi ordered, walking up to the duo. "Besides, if his hands are trapped, how is he going to hold this?" Dave handed the lanky young man an enormous steaming travel mug of his favorite brew.

Reid excitedly grabbed the offered mug and took a sip. "Mmm, the nectar of the gods." he mumbled, taking another sip. "Thanks Rossi"

"You're welcome kid" Dave said. "I figured coffee would be the first thing you went searching for."

"You are correct." Spencer told him, tightening his grip on his mug when he tripped over his own two feet.

Shaking his head, Dave finagled his way between Reid and Garcia and throwing an arm around both of their shoulders, led them over to the couch. "Sit down before you fall down, kid."

"Yes sir" Spencer replied. He plopped down beside Hotch and leaned into his side without a second thought.

Rossi smiled at the action. It seemed things weren't going to change as much as he thought. Realizing he was staring, the senior profiler quickly said, "You guys sit there and relax while I finish getting our lunch ready."

"O *yawn* kay" Reid agreed. "I need to get used to…"

"Untle Pence! Untle Pence!" Henry hollered as he ran up to the couch and jumped into his surprised godfather's arms almost causing the coffee cup to go airborne. "Whewe you go? Henwy missed you!"

"I missed you too, Henry." Spencer said, hugging the little boy. "I didn't want to leave but I had to go see about my mom for a little while."

"Untle Pence go way 'gain?" Henry asked, pinning Reid with his infamous puppy eyes.

Spencer grinned down at his godson. "No Henry, I'm not going away any time soon." he assured the youngster.

"Didn't anyone ever tell you not to make promises you can't keep?" a squeaky voice chided.

The family looked over at the coffee table unsurprised to see the chipmunk named Simon staring at them from the puzzle he was pictured in.

"What are you doing here, Gabe?" Reid curiously asked. "And what do you mean?"

Simon pulled an apple off the tree beside him and took a bite. "Immmmm" he garbled. Holding up a clawed finger, he noisily chewed and swallowed his mouthful before continuing. "I came to see how you were adjusting and to announce a certain secret."

"Secret?" Aaron repeated with a frown. "What secret?"

"Hold on to your britches dude! I can't reveal my best kept secret until everyone's here." Gabe replied. He snapped his fingers and the rest of the profilers suddenly appeared. "There, now I'm ready!"

"For what?" Rossi demanded.

"Why to reveal the best part of my second childhood plan of course!" Simon crowed.

"Sssecond part?" Spencer questioned feeling a knot starting to grow in the pit of his stomach. He scooted closer to Hotch.

"Yep!" Gabe answered. "Since your second childhood kept getting interrupted by illness and injuries and cases and crap like that, I decided that your two and a half months just weren't enough. So…"

"You're not going to turn me back into a kid are you?!" a horrified Reid asked. "I just turned back!"

"Calm down clown! I'm not gonna de-age you again." Loki told him. "At least not right this minute"

"Gabe" Aaron growled. "Get to the point."

"Alright, alright grumpy" the trickster replied. "Since the kid didn't get his full time and since he missed so many childhood experiences, I've decided that the young Jedi will return to his child state anytime he or one of you needs it. And before you ask, yes the same rules for work will still apply."

"What? But, but I…"

"I think we need a private conversation." Gabe said. He snapped his fingers and everyone froze except Reid. "There, that's better"

Spencer glanced around at his still as statue friends. "Are they okay?" he inquired.

"They're fine. Honest." Loki replied. "Now that we're alone, I want you to think about something for me. Think about all the times one or more of your friends has had something awful happen to them; some time you wished you could have comforted them but you really didn't know how. There's been a lot of them, haven't there?"

"Yeah but how will me being a kid help?" Reid questioned.

"As a child you've been able to give love freely something you couldn't do as an adult. I mean think about it. Mr. Stick in the mud might not allow you and your friends to help him through a rough spot but he'd never reject a hug from Henry or mini you."

"Yeah but…"

Gabe sighed. "Okay think of it this way. How many times has just being around Henry made you feel better after a case gone wrong?"

"More times than I can count." Spencer muttered before looking over at the chipmunk puzzle and smiling. "You really think this will work?"

"I know it will Sport." Loki assured him. "Now what do you say I unfreeze your friends before your lunch burns the house down?"

"Sounds good" Reid said with a smile. "And Gabe, thanks"

"Anytime Short Stuff" the trickster replied before snapping his fingers.

Aaron sighed as Reid bumped into yet another piece of furniture. Since the young man had woken up this morning, he'd managed to have more accidents than he had the entire time he was a child. Even after he had gotten his sea legs back, the boy had run into anything and everything that was above his former two year old height. He had amassed an enormous amount of scrapes, scratches, and bruises in the few hours he'd been up; the most impressive being a large knot on his forehead from a rather short doorway. Well, truthfully that one was from a combination of that and the edge of the door that he somehow managed to hit himself with. Seeing Spencer hit his hip on the side of the pool table, Hotch called out, "Reid, come sit down for a while."

Spencer hurried over to the couch and gratefully sank down beside his friend.

Aaron glanced at the man that had been like a second son to him. With the boy now a man he knew the time had come to have the conversation he'd been putting off with him. He just wasn't sure how to start. Deciding the straight forward route was the best, he cleared his throat and began. "Reid, there's something we need to discuss."

"What?" Spencer asked, staring curiously at his father figure.

"The incident at Disney" Aaron replied. He held up a hand to stop the boy's protest. "Now I know it's not something you want to discuss but you have to. What happened is hurting you; its effecting everything you do."

"No, it's not." Spencer snapped.

"Spencer, you can't even go into the men's room." Hotch pointed out. Seeing the young man's head drop, he sighed. "Look, if you don't want to talk with me that's fine. But you need to talk with someone. Please son."

"I, I…I don't know if I can." Reid whispered, hugging himself in a comforting gesture that was all too familiar.

Aaron wrapped his arms around the hurting man and pulled him into an embrace. "Try for me, son. Start from when he came in and go from there." he urged. "You can do this Spencer. I know you can. But if it gets to be too much, you can stop."

Reid nodded. "Oooookay." He stammered as the tears began to fall. He hugged himself tighter and with a sniff began. "I, I thought he, he just came in to w-w-w-wash his hands. And, and that's all he did at first. I ssssshouldn't have let my guard down but we were at Disney and he, he didn't sssseem to bbbe a thre-at." He recounted, snuggling into his surrogate dad's side. "So I, I turned back to the stall and he, he snuck up behind me and grabbed me. I kicked and punched but, but he was too strong. I tried to scream but his, his hand was over my mouth. He, he ran out of the bathroom and, and took me away from you. I, I kept ffffighting. I even bit his hand but he, he carried me in that, that other room and he, he pulled my, my pants down and I was so, so scared. I knew he was gonna, gonna…"

"Shhhhh Spencer. You're okay. He didn't get a chance to hurt you. Dave and I saw to that." Aaron assured the boy as he began to rock. "Come on son calm down for me. You're safe now. I've got you."

CM

"Hey Reid you wanna…" Morgan broke off at the sight of his best friend sleeping with his head on Hotch's lap. "He okay?"

"Yes" Aaron whispered. "He just got a little upset during our discussion about his kidnapping at Disney."

"You got him to talk about that?!" Derek gasped.

"Partially" Hotch responded, carding a hand through Reid's hair. "I was hoping being an adult would lessen the fear and helplessness he felt but that's not the case. Spencer is just as terrified as he was the day he happened. He's going to need the help and support of all of us to get past this."

"Don't worry man. We'll get him through it even if it means partnering up to go to the bathroom for a while." Morgan declared. Seeing the subject of their conversation beginning to stir, he smiled. "I'm gonna head out now since I doubt Pretty Boy would want anyone to see him like this. Tell him Henry and Chester are waiting for him to come play out in the yard when he's up."

"I'll be sure to relay that message." Aaron replied, distractedly. Staring down at his youngest, he watched as the boy's forehead furrowed and his face scrunched up before his eyes slowly opened to half-mast.

Reid blinked the sleep out of his eyes and glanced around. His eyes widened as he realized just where he was. He shot straight up and scooted back. "H-Hotch, I'm so-sorry." He stammered. "I didn't mean to…"

"Reid, Reid stop." He shushed. "It's alright, son."

"But I was sleeping on you!" Spencer protested.

Aaron raised an eyebrow. "I know." He replied. "And that's alright." He held up a hand to silence the protest he could see coming. "Spencer, as I told you earlier things are not going to change merely because you're an adult now."

"But…"

"Sorry son, you're just going to have to get used it." Hotch stated with a grin.

Spencer ducked his head with a smile. "I think I can do that." He said.

Aaron returned the boy's smile with one of his own. "Good" he answered, clapping the young man on the back. "Now what do you say we go outside? Henry and Chester are waiting for you to come play with them."

Reid jumped off the couch wobbling for a moment before getting his bearings. "Cool! Let's go!" he hollered.

CM

"Night Hotch" Spencer called.

"Goodnight Spencer" Aaron responded. "Don't forget if you need me, I'm just two doors down."

"Okay" Reid mumbled before going into his new bedroom and shutting the door behind him. Breathing a sigh of relief, he quickly went through his bedtime routine and then climbed into bed. The young man stretched out reveling in the fact that he had the whole bed to himself. Yawning, he closed his eyes. His eyes popped back open minutes later. He couldn't sleep. He needed something. Spencer sat up and glanced around the semi-dark room. Maybe if he read for a while first. That sometimes helped him unwind after a long day of work. Yes, that must be what he needed. Convinced he had the answer he grabbed his book off the night stand and flipped it open.

An hour later Spencer was ready to admit defeat. He was exhausted from playing hide and seek and roller coaster with Henry and Chester but he just couldn't seem to drift off. Huffing, the young man racked his brain for a solution. Spying his cell on top of the dresser, he got an idea. He climbed out of bed, grabbed his phone, and brought it back to the bed with him. Reid laid down and set his cell on the pillow beside him. Pulling up the video Prentiss had sent him weeks ago, he pressed play and closed his eyes letting his friends' voice wash over him. He started to drift off. He reached out his arm wrapping it around…nothing. Spencer's eyes opened again. Sighing, he took his treasured Ewok off the nightstand and settled it beside him. After adjusting his blankets so that his bed buddy couldn't be seen, Reid restarted the train song video and closed his eyes once more. The young man quickly drifted off dreaming of all the fun he'd had with his family.

The End

AN- I do have a sequel in mind for this one. It will show glimpses of how the team's relationships have changed as well as some of the little Spencer we have come to love. So, be on the lookout for it. And thank you once again for reading!
