AN: I'm almost sad to be posting this update. It marks the end of the very first story I started posting on here. And what a journey it's been. I'm sorry I've not been able to keep my promise of regular updates but here's to hoping that will improve in the future. We'll see! Please don't forget to review after you have read this epilogue.

EPILOGUE
"Noah!" Rachel shrieked to her husband as she stood at the bottom of the stairs at her fathers house, "I swear to god, if you don't hurry up we're going to miss half the party!"
"Calm down, Babe," Noah appeared with a toddler on his hips, "Mommy's freaking out, isn't she Princess?" he spoke to the little girl before turning back to Rachel, "I was just getting Isabel's shoes on… Have you fed Gabby?"
"Yup, she's asleep and has been ready for a while now," Rachel glared.
"Stop panicking, Squirt," Noah laughed, kissing Rachel gently and passing off their daughter so he could adjust his shirt and tie.
"I just don't want to be late for our reunion," she replied, "Plus Quinn and Santana haven't seen the girls since Gabby was born. I want the girls to be able to spend some time with their aunties before my dad's come to pick them up."
The couple were taking their three year old daughter, Isabel and their month old daughter, Gabriella, with them to their five year high school reunion. Rachel's fathers were going to come to the school to pick the girls up after a little while and would babysit until the parents got home.
"Well then," Noah smiled, "let's get going." He picked up a sleeping Gabby and gently deposited her into the car seat while Rachel buckled in Isabel. In a matter of minutes they were pulling up at their old high school and lifting the girls out of the car. Rachel had Gabby strapped into a carrier on her chest as the newborn was content sleeping against her mother.
"Puckerman!" A voice called making both of them turn to face Finn.
"Finn!" Rachel squealed, wrapping her arms around the taller boy as best she could with the infant in her arms, "It's so good to see you!"
"You too Rachel," he smiled in return "… How is the newest addition to the Puckerman clan? I got the photos you sent me."
"Yes, this is little Gabby," Rachel said looking down at the baby.
"Unk Finn!" Isabel squealed from Noah's arms and practically through herself over to Finn, "I free."
"I know you're three, Izzy!" Finn laughed, "you're getting to be such a big girl… I can't believe she's three, man!" he said to the little girls father.
"Tell me about it!" Puck laughed, "She's started at day care once a week to give Rachel a bit of a hand now that we have Gabby too… She told me the other day that she has a boyfriend… I was pretty quick to reinforce the no dating until you're thirty rule."
The couple chatted with Finn for a little while longer, and before long, the remainder of the Glee club joined them. The group caught up and spoilt both Isabel and Gabby rotten before the two girls were picked up by their grandfathers.
"So I've got something to ask you," Santana said, pulling Rachel aside. She held up a hand, "Will you be my maid of honour?"
Rachel shrieked seeing the sparkling ring on Santana's left hand, "Jamie proposed?!"
"Yesterday," Santana grinned.
"I can't believe you're getting married!" Rachel smiled, grabbing Noah by the hand and showing him the ring.
"So he finally asked you, hey?" Noah smiled.
Santana narrowed her eyes towards her old friend, "You knew?" Of course Puck knew. If Jamie was going to ask anyone for advice it would be Noah Puckerman- the guy who married his soul mate in an arranged marriage as teenagers.
Noah nodded, "Jamie dragged me ring shopping last time we were in Lima."
"I can't believe you didn't tell me!" Rachel punched her husband in the arm.
"You would have blabbed," he laughed at her, "and you know it! I was doing the right thing… as best man, and keeping it a secret… even from my wife," he turned to face Santana again, "congrats San, Jamie's a very lucky guy."
"How's New York?" Mr Schuester asked Rachel when the two got a moment to sit and talk.
Rachel grinned at the man. He always had a way of being able to read her, "It's been amazing," she replied, "I'm lucky that our family has been so supportive and that I've been able to finish all my studies through two pregnancies. I've even had some time on the stage- which was a dream come true…"
"Am I sensing a but?"
"Not really," she smiled again, "I do not regret one minute of our lives…" she paused for a moment, carefully choosing her words, "Noah always said, when we graduated we'd move to New York, study and then, if kids were in the picture, he'd stay home with them while I tried to make it on Broadway… But, to be quite honest, I'm just happy being a mom right now. Noah has a great job and I don't feel like I missing anything like I thought I would… We've talked about maybe moving back here before Izzy starts school."
"Really?" Will said, surprised. While he wasn't shocked Rachel was considering giving up Broadway to be a mom, he was a little shocked that they were considering moving back to Lima. That said, both Rachel and Noah were very family orientated, and even though New York to Lima was a longish trip, the couple made it often to visit.
"We kind of like the idea of the girls going to school here," Rachel shrugged, "and it would be nice to be nearer to family. We're not ready to leave New York yet. Noah wants to get some more experience under his belt and I've still got a few shows left in me but… In the next few years."
"Have you considered teaching?" Will asked and Rachel turned to look at him, a little shocked.
"Teaching?" she raised an eyebrow.
"You'd make a fabulous Music teacher," he replied seriously, "and Lima could use some more people dedicated to the arts… The pay isn't great, but the summers off with kids are worth it," he said, referring to his own young son, Lucas, who was welcomed into the world two years before Izzy, "You should consider it and if you decide that it could work for you, I'll put in a good word."
"I will," Rachel replied seriously as her husband and their old friends came over to join them.
"First night out without the kids since Gabby was born," he grinned at his wife, "what do you say Squirt, wanna break out of here and go party?" he joked, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"I want to go to the bathroom without being interrupted by a toddler," Rachel joked in reply, earning her raised eyebrows from the majority of the Glee clubbers who had yet to have children of their own but a knowing smile from their teacher, "but seriously, this is nice. It's nice being around friends."
Noah understood the hidden meaning behind her statement. Rachel and him had discussed moving back to Lima a few times and he had always said he'd leave it up to her. He could do his job anywhere but there weren't many places available for a girl destined for Broadway. They had weighed up the pros and cons several times and lately, they found themselves seriously considering a big change.
"Its nice," Noah agreed, "I'll go wherever you and the girls go, Squirt."
"Love you, Stretch," Rachel grinned, reaching up to kiss her husband before turning to her friends and enjoying the first night they had had without the kids in a long time.
The End.
Oh my goodness. I never thought I would finish this story. When I started, I wasn't really sure where I was going to take it but eventually it wrote itself.
Thanks for sticking with me, despite the irregular updates.
Make a girl happy and leave me a final review =)
