Author's Note: Hey everyone! This is my fist Oneshot, so enjoy! This is InuYasha's POV towards Kagome! Warning: This is very romantic and mushy!

(InuYasha's POV)

I was sitting in a tree. Like I do every night. I couldn't help but look down at you. A few long, raven strands of hair were in you face. I wanted to jump down and brush them back.

It seemed funny. I tricked you into releasing me, then, shortly after, I tried to kill you. Now you were my best friend. This damnable spring was trying to tell me otherwise, though. To demons, spring is when we fall in love and mate. I was thinking about the fight we had that day.

* Flashback begins *

"InuYasha, why wont you look at me?" You asked.

"Feh. What do you mean, wench?" I snapped, automatically getting defensive..

"I was just asking! That's all!" You yelled back.

"Maybe you should mind your own damn business!" I knew what you were going to say.

"InuYasha, SIT BOY!" then you stormed off.

*Flashback Ends*

Thank Kami today was the last day of spring. As soon as the sun rises, it will be summer and I'll go back to being normal around you. Suddenly, you scream. I jump down beside you. You shake and kick and scream again in pure terror. I pin your arms by your side. I lean over your shaking body. You whimper.

"InuYasha!" You cried.

"Kagome? I'm right here." I whispered.

Tears started to roll down your cheeks.

"Kagome, wake up!" I whine. Your eyes flutter open, then you gasp. I can smell even more saltwater. You begin to cry even harder. I jump off of you, then you hug me. You caught me by surprise, so I awkwardly put my arms around you. I begin to to stroke your hair, I'm trying to soothe you, bit it I'm probably doing bad at it.

"Kagome, are you okay?" I whisper.

"It was horrible! Naraku was here, and he killed you! Sango and Miroku just kept sleeping, no matter how much I yelled at them. I'm glad it was a dream."

"Hey," I said in a calm voice, "I'm alive, see?" I took you hand and put it to my chest so you could feel my heartbeat. You smiled at the reassurance I was happy to see you smile again.

Before I even knew what I was doing, I leaned in and kissed you. My arms went around your waist. Your lips tasted so sweet, and I was surrounded by your wonderful scent. You had to breathe, so you pulled away first.

"I-I love you, InuY-yasha." you looked down refusing to meet my gaze.

I look behind you and saw the sun rising. Nothing changed. I felt love towards you, still.

I sucked in a deep breathe, "I love you too, Kagome." yours eyes widen in shock. "Now go back to sleep."

"I'm afraid I'm gonna have another nightmare." you whined. "Will you stay down here... with me?"

"Umm, okay." I lied down next to you, my arm went around your waist and you head rested on my chest. I knew you were asleep by your breathing.

"I love you." I placed a gentle kiss on your forehead. My past didn't plague me in my sleep that night, and it never did again.
