"Marian!"

She fumbled with the thin towel she had hastily wrapped around herself, trying frantically to retain what little of her modesty remained after he had burst in on her bathing.

"I apologise, Marian, I thought... the door was..." He trailed off, desperately attempting to keep his eyes averted from her almost-naked body, from her face, flushed scarlet with mortification, from the soap suds that clung on to her exposed shoulders, and the water droplets that trickled from her wet hair and disappeared down her glistening cleavage.

It was not her fault if, three days later, the Nightwatchman should choose to prey upon Locksley Manor, and glimpse its lord as he towelled himself dry.

An eyeful for an eyeful. It was only fair.
