A/N: Wooo for one shots! Okay this was made from pure boredom and reading lots of Fruits Basket and Ouran Host Club fics. Enjoy!
It was a clear day, the air brisk and the sky was streaked with white clouds. The grass was vivid green; nothing was disturbing the ginger haired-boy stretching out on the grass. Sunlight cast shadows across his face, a smirk pulling onto his lips.
He opened his amber eyes to watch the new world he found himself in. He got the ambition to explore, but once he realized his identical other was not at his side he knew he was in a dream. A gust of cold wind pulled at his clothes. He was getting blown away.
"Hikaru?" Kaoru asked, now fearful. He clawed at the ground, attempting to keep himself steady. "Hikaru, where are you?"
A figure began to near him, about the same height as his twin and with orange hair. But something seemed significantly different. As he got closer, the boy calling for help couldn't even recall who this person was. He wore a black T-shirt and baggy, brown pants. On his wrist was a black and white bead bracelet. The image of this person was so realistic it was like Kaoru had met him before.
The orange-headed boy knelt beside the distressed. He pried Kaoru's fingers from the earth, and once again the wind began to carry him. "No! Hikaru, help-!"
Everything faded away.
"Kaoru, are you okay?" Hikaru asked his twin, who was shaking and tossing in his sleep. Worry flashed into his eyes. "Kaoru, wake up!"
"H-Hikaru?" Kaoru asked, blinking awake. His dream still flashed through his mind. Cold sweat ran down his face and back. His arms and legs were still numb. His voice was hoarse. He pushed himself up and took a steadying breath.
"What happened, did you have a nightmare?" Hikaru asked, clueless that his twin wasn't listening to him.
Kaoru was reeling his brain, trying to remember who the boy was. Somehow he knew him. And somehow he didn't.
Light entered their shared bedroom through the curtains, causing Kaoru to check the clock. It wasn't too early to get ready for school. "Sorry…the dream was a little weird," Kaoru apologized before getting up from the bed and changing into his school uniform.
Somehow he would have to find out who that boy was.
Somehow…
