Trip to the Moon
Natalie is smiling larger than Henry's ever seen her—or anyone else—smile, and she's running towards Henry. He can't help but grin at her enthusiasm about whatever it is that's making her act like this.
"Henry!" she yells, racing into his open arms. "I got in! I'm going to Yale!"
"That's amazing, Natalie!" Henry says truthfully. But then he realizes that this means they won't be going to the same college. He tries to brush the realization away and just be happy for Natalie.
Natalie has the same thought. "Oh, my God," she exclaims. "This means…we're not going to be going to the same school anymore. I…I don't have to go there. We should go some place together."
It's so, so tempting for Henry to agree to that. There's nothing he wants more than to stay with Natalie. But there's nothing Natalie wants more than to go to Yale. "No." He shakes his head. "You've been dreaming of going there for years. We'll make it work even if we're not at the same school. Go to Yale, Natalie. I know you'll do great things there."
Natalie starts to protest, but Henry shuts her up with a kiss.
