The Perfect, Loving Family
Natalie's life is a total cliché now, but she doesn't care. It's perfect.
She and Henry went to college together, got married, and now have two beautiful, bright-eyed, curly-haired children. Natalie makes sure neither of them feels ignored, and so far, no one (including Henry) has complained of it. For once, her family is normal, and she loves it.
Henry walks into the house and kisses Natalie on the cheek. "Hey, Nat. How was your day?"
"Good," she replies. As she stares into her husband's eyes, she realizes that she finally has everything she's ever wanted, and she wonders if this is all some crazy dream.
"Are you okay?" Henry asks, noticing the faraway look in Natalie's eyes.
"Yeah," Natalie says, smiling. "I'm okay. Everything's okay."
It is finally the truth.
