Hi. I'm Max. As in Maximum Ride. The Maximum Ride.
I'm your Introduction to Avian-Human Hybrids teacher. That's a pretty long course name, though, so you can call it "Intro to Birdkids" - much easier to say.
The reason I'm teaching this class, instead of one of the scientists that created me, is because they're all either in jail or in hiding, because they, um, created me, which is apparently really illegal.
Anyway.
In this class/course/thing, you're going to learn everything about what it's like to be a birdkid, without actually being a birdkid yourself.
It's going to be weird, it's going to be freaky, but, by the end of this course, you'll know a lot more than you know now – and maybe, maybe, you'll know more than I know.
However unlikely that sounds.
Before I start teaching you guys about others like myself, however, I need to know what you know about birdkids.
So that'll be your first assignment.
In a legible way, write a not-quite-essay about what you know about avian-human hybrids.
Don't look anything up – this has to be solely off the top of your head.
Also, while this won't necessarily be graded, if I don't get at least five not-quite-essays, this class will be taught entirely in Spanish.
Any questions?

Hi, I'm Max's aide, Vera!
So here's how this is gonna work.
Each chapter's going to be Max talking, just Max (unless we have a special guest), but she's not only going to be teaching the class, but replying to you.
This means I'm not going to reply to all of the reviews like I normally do, because it would be pointless. I'm only going to reply to some of the reviews, Max will reply to the rest.
Send in your not-quite-essays, folks!
