This was written for Mystii's Freeverse competition. It's my very first attempt to freeverse and my very first attempt to all ThOSe bizZarE lay-outs.
My prompt was "Lighthouse" with Fred and Katie as characters. Enjoy and Review :) Please read with the 1/2 or 3/4 format.
It's only now that she realises he was her light,
now that he's extinct and dull.
It's at this moment
that she realises (and it pains her very much):
he was her guide. And now she's lost.

wandering at the whim of the wind
She doesn't realise he was with her, until then,
when he's not here any more.
He Is Gone.
he was her lighthouse, a bright Captain.
she tries to convince herself she does(n't) need him:
she can't.
she's lost in the OceEAn of her LiFe,
there is a TEMPEST,
the w.a.v.e.s are crushing her heart,
and she misses that light.
His Light.
she's in the -middle- of the OceEAn

she looks for the light (her anchor), in the offing,
but
she finds none.
she needs to back out off the OceEAn,
she needs to land.
she only enjoyed the OceEAn when he was with her.
now, she's just

she lands,

the tide (and time) helped her, even if she didn't want it.
she lands,

she still _ _ _misses_ _ _ something, though.

and she visits his grave. because even if the light is off
he's still her anchor to the land.
