"Arthur?" a sweet little voice said from behind him. Arthur set down the tea he was sipping, and turned to see his adorable little colony, America.
"What is it poppet?" he asked with a smile.
"What's sex?" Alfred asked as blatantly if he were asking his favorite color.
Upon hearing the question, Arthur spilled hot tea in his lap. "Bloody hell!" He exclaimed standing up and finding a towel to dry himself off with.
"Are you okay Arthur?" Alfred asked watching him dry off his lap the best he could.
"Ah- yes. I'm fine," He responded in a more calm manner.
"Good!" Alfred cheefully said. "So, can you tell me what sex is now?"
"...Where did you hear that ...that.. word from?" Arthur asked still a little flabbergasted.
"Francis!" Alfred answered happily.
Arthur rolled his eyes, "Of course you did. Okay Alfred, sit down. I'll tell you the story of the birds and the bees."
"But, I wanted to know about sex! Not birds and bees." Alfred said as he sat down confused.
"Yes, I know. That's what the birds and bees are." Arthur responded. "Now... "
Alfred spoke up again, "Wait, so sex is birds and bees?"
"Alfred, just listen." Arthur answered getting huffy. "Okay, there are trees and plants who need pollen from other flowers, to make more trees. The ones that help that happen are the hummingbirds and the bees. They carry pollen to the flower, and help the plants.. well, ...anyway.. that's the story of.. sex."
Alfred thought for a moment,"But, Arthur! You didn't finish the story. Francis mentioned that it has to be done with someone you like, a lot... and I don't understand how that story went with the one he told me."
"This is getting difficult..." Arthur sighed to himself. "Yes, well.. the bee and the hummingbird, liked each other."
"But.. Francis also said-" Alfred began until Arthur cut him off.
"Just forget anything that frog told you, and listen to me. The hummingbird and the bee, like each other... so they can pollinate flowers together..." he paused to see if Alfred would accept that explaination.
Alfred smiled,"Ohhh, I get it now!"
"Do you? Oh good, that makes me happy." Arthur said ruffling Alfred hair. He was extremely relieved he didn't have to go further into detail.

Little Alfred grinned really big, "I like you Arthur! Does that mean we can have sex?"
Arthur's jaw was ajar, and he blushed like mad.
