Chocolate Kisses

Dis: Wouldn't it be nice to post only one mass disclaimed stating I do not own Inu-Yasha?

A/N: A small one shot inspired by my dog. It's filled with fluffy goodness of course. What else? Haha. InuKag.

"KAGOME LET'S GO!" Inu-Yasha's voice rang through the house. Kagome glared up from her oven and shook her head. Why had he come to get her? She told him she' be back by Sunday afternoon she still had at least two hours before she was due back in Feudal Japan. "Inu-Yasha! Go away I'm busy!" She shouted back as she began pulling things out of cupboards. She was doing something that was relaxing damn it. She did not need Inu-Yasha interrupting and trying to drag her back through the stupid well.

In an instant he was there in the kitchen. "What are you doing?" He demanded, folding his arms over his chest as he watched her tear open a bag filled with some strange brown powder. He sniffed as she poured it into a bowl. It was… sweet? It smelled sort of good. "I'm baking a cake." Kagome replied with a roll of her eyes as she pulled a glass dish out and sprayed some strange substance in it. "What sort of cake is brown?" He demanded as she cracked eggs into the brown powder.

"Chocolate cake." She replied, only half paying attention as she attempted to measure out oil. The mix of ingredients was playing tricks on Inu-Yasha's senses. His attempts to drag her back to the well were temporarily forgotten. He edged closer to the mixture, golden eyes peering into the bowl as Kagome began to stir. He only really knew two of her ingredients, eggs and water. "It looks wet." He commented as he leaned closer still to the bowl. Kagome shifted the bowl further away from him. "I haven't cooked it yet." She responded.

"Oh."

She continued to blend the mixture and the scents all began to mix together. She poured the stuff into the glass pan and slid it into the over, setting the timer and turning just in time to see his finger dipping in to the abandoned bowl. She smiled for a moment before the realization hit her. "No!" She shouted as she lunged forwards and clenched on to his wrist. He stared at her for a long minute. "What?" He demanded, shocked that she wouldn't let him taste a little. She grabbed a napkin to wipe the batter off his finger.

"I can't believe I forgot. You can't have any Inu-Yasha! Not even a little bit! Dogs are allergic to chocolate!" She exclaimed as she pulled away from him and moved the bowl over to the kitchen sink. "That's not fair! I want to – What does allergic mean?" He asked curiously. Kagome smiled and shook her head. "It means if you eat it you'll get really sick and die." She replied calmly.

The color in his face drained for a long moment before he shook his head. "I'm only half a dog though!" He exclaimed as Kagome scooped some batter on to her finger and stuck it in her mouth, savoring the taste of the same treat she was denying him. "Do you really want to take that risk?" She demanded. He thought for a moment before grinning. He knew one way she could not stop him from getting a taste. He leaned in close. Kagome stared at him apprehensively. Before she could comment his lips pressed against hers. The taste of chocolate lingered on her lips and now on his. The taste mixed with the taste of Kagome. It was delicious.

He pulled away and grinned as Kagome stared, unable to process what had just happened. "Hey. Do you have any special plans for this cake thing?" He asked. Kagome shook her head in response. "Let's go leave it for Sesshomaru." He said, eyes twinkling in the light.
