When I was little, my father told me a story.
It was a story about light and darkness, about hope and despair, but also about the choices we can make that can change everything.
Fate and destiny play a large role in what we do, what we say, and what happens to us - but we are only human.
It is difficult to predict the human heart, he told me - so long ago. And I remember these words as I watch the future in my dreams, hoping that the decisions of the heart can influence a better future.
It had happened once before. A change of heart, the need to change feelings - it had hurt at the moment, but now I am glad it turned out the way it did. Looking back, I probably would have not been paired up well with my guardian's false form - we never had the same relationship as I do with Syaoran. None of the closeness - the necessary intimacy and familiarity - was present there with him.
A single decision, of a guardian's heart - it decided everything.
But it turned out for the best - oni-chan can take care of both Yue and Yuki while I have someone I can comfortably confide in.
It was a story of light and darkness, of hope and despair. But I don't think it will end in darkness and despair.
Every story has a happy ending. You just have to hope for it and work your way towards the light.
AN: As a clarification, Sakura is reflecting on her own philosophy that "Everything will be okay" and how that was applied to the relationships that formed in the series, mainly herself and Syaoran and Toya with Yue/Yuki.
I hope the story was okay - I feel like Sakura was too OOC. Rereading what I just wrote, it is more me reflecting upon the series than of Sakura thinking.
As a side note - if anyone could help me classify my stories' genres, I'd really appreciate it!
