A KatAang Story (Avatar: the Last Airbender)
Amazing
"Appa's so big… Appa's so big that he makes Momo look like a flea!" Katara laughed hysterically. Aang was sitting with her in her tent. Normally, this would be strictly prohibited, but everyone knows that Aang and Katara wouldn't do anything exciting in there. Everyone knew Aang had a monk's morals, and Katara respected her tribe's laws… sort of. What do you expect? Katara was 18, and Aang was 16, both of legal marrying age, both together. Anyway, enough of that.
"Sorry Katara, but I think you really should leave the jokes to Sokka and Toph." Aang laughed back. Ever since Team Avatar (Minus Sokka, due to training with Piandao) found her jokes boring, she decided to tell jokes non-stop until she could get at least a giggle, or smirk from the Avatar. So far, he's only laughed because he loved her laugh.
Then, Aang noticed the small portrait of Kya, Sokka and Katara's deceased mom, near Katara's bed. He studied it for a while, and then had a thought. A thought he saved just for the right time.
"Oh I got another one. Aang, you are so cute, that you make turtle-duckling look terrible." Katara smiled.
"Well, Katara. You're so beautiful, that the Spirit of Beauty wants your face back." Aang smiled, while Katara could do anything but stop blushing. Even after several seconds her cheeks colored. Then she started laughing.
"Oh, stop it. Come here..." she gestured him towards her. Aang came closer enthusiastically. Then Katara pulled him next to her, allowing her to cuddle with him and hug him at the same time. She put her head between his head and shoulders. Aang wrapped his arms around her. He touched her face, held her face ever so gently, and leaned in. Katara leaned in as well, closing the gap between their faces. They hugged each other tighter, when Aang felt something on his lip. Katara's tongue. Aang's eyes widened with surprise and pleasure as he granted it and made a little space between his lips to let her in. Their tongues started wrestling when Katara broke the kiss. They stared at each other's eyes for a long time.
"I really love you, Katara" Aang said sincerely. Katara traced his arrow with her finger gently, causing them both to blush.
"I know. But I think I may love you more" Katara smiled.
"Not true!"Aang said childishly.
"I'll prove it" she smiled slyly. She kissed the airbender's cheek, then the side of his lip, then moved her kiss onto his lips. They went from a gentle kiss, to a loving kiss, to a passionate kiss, and a rough kiss within seconds.
"Did that prove it?" she said breathlessly.
"No, but I'll always love you. Every second of every day, during life, and forever in the spirit world. I love you… a lot" Aang said whole-heartedly. He smiled sincerely, and Katara smiled even more.
"Nope, even after that I think I still love you more." Katara sighed.
"Katara?"
"Yeah, Aang?"
"Shut up."
They laughed. They haven't had any moments like these in a long time. It was amazing, because they didn't know anyone with love like theirs. When Aang finally had to leave, due to the tribe's curfew, he had finally decided to let his "special" thought out.
He looked at Kya's portrait. "Kya, you have one amazing, beautiful daughter." He smiled at Katara and left.
After that, Katara was tearing with joy, because she knew they both loved each other so much in a way neither of them could begin to comprehend.
Second most horrendous thing I have ever written. It turned out better in my head. Flame me if you must, I deserve it for making you read this horrible one-shot.
