Cat couldn't believe that they were actually going to do this. It had started as a rhetorical question that had been asked while he Julia, Roger, and Janet played in the tree house, but it had rolled from there like in those cartoons where a dropped snowball rolled down a mountain and turned into a giant thing that could crush houses if they were in its way.

Julia and Janet tittered excitedly behind him when Roger came down and gave the signal.

He breathed deeply as he gathered his courage.

"Chrestomanci! Chrestomanci! Chrestomanci!" he yelled.

Suddenly there was a pop of displaced air and the sound of water hitting the stone floor of the entry hall.

"Eeew!" Julia yelled as her father recognized his surroundings, realized what he just did, and vanished once more with a small pop of displaced air.

"What is it dear?" Aunt Millie called from a nearby room.

"Dad pees in the shower!" Roger called back staring at the yellow puddle his father had left behind in horrified fascination.
