My second one-shot.

Disclaimer: I certainly do not own Gakuen Alice. Just this crappy story.

"Ne, Mikan-chan, have you ever been in love?" Anna asked wonderingly.

Tch. Stupid love question.

"Yes, Anna-chan." Didn't expect that answer from Polka.

Anna squealed in delight. "Really? So, are you in love with someone right now?" Anna asked her eagerly.

I saw her hesitate at first. Then, her eyes lit up and she nodded. Blush crept up her cheeks.

I suddenly found myself fuming with anger. I just want to burn whoever that guy she's in love with. I stalked out of the room.

"Natsume!" she called.

I ignored her.

I sat on one of the branches of the Sakura tree and leaned against its trunk. That moment kept flashing on my mind. She likes someone else. Damn luck. Just when I had the guts to confess.

Yes, that's right.

I'm swallowing my pride for admitting this, but the great Natsume Hyuuga had fallen, really hard, for the most dense girl in this world. I know she's a blabbermouth, idiot, a magnet for accidents and all, but she's the only one who was able to perceive through my soul, and the only girl who didn't fall head-over-heels with me at first sight.

She irritates me, alright. Ironically, I just woke up one day and realizing how much I want to hear her constant naggings.

But maybe, she's better off with someone else. I've warned her before not to enter the darkness she doesn't belong to, my darkness. The only problem is her. She's too persistent.

That made it difficult for me to let her go.

Now, every time I see her, I just want to make her mine. I want to burn those guys who are drooling over her. I want to capture those lips of hers. I want her to smile just for me.

Selfish, that's who I am.

But she likes someone. So all those wants seem impossible to happen. Darn it.

"Where is the heck is he?" a familiar voice said below, waking me from my thoughts.

Probably looking for the guy she likes.

"I haven't seen him since he went out of the room. Seriously, what's his problem?" she kept saying to herself. "I just hope he's not on some dangerous mission again. Why do you always make me worry, Natsume?"

Me? With that, I jumped down and stood beside her.

"What was that again, Polka?" I asked her, a smirk on my face.

"Natsume!" she hugged me. "Where did you hide all day?"

Ignoring her question, I told her, "Stop clinging to me, Polka. Or should I say, Panda?"

She removed her arms from my waist and glared at me. "Pervert!" Then, she stuck her tongue out at me.

I could've laughed at her response. But no, I wasn't that kind of person.

"Why are you still awake at this time of the night? No wonder you're always late in class every morning. "

She pouted. "I was worried about you. So I went looking around for you. In case you're on a mission, I'll wait for you until you come back."

I was shock at her words. Nevertheless, I told her, "You should stop worrying about me and instead worry about that guy you like."

It was her turn to be surprised. Smiling teasingly, she said, "Don't tell me you're jealous, Natsume?"

Of course I am, but hell, I'm not going to say that out loud. "Why would I be jealous? You know, whoever that guy is, he's so unlucky to have you like him." I said, smirking.

She rolled her eyes. "Uh-uh. I think I'm the one who's unlucky to like you, of all people." she said sarcastically.

Wait a minute, what was that again?

Realization hit me.

Her eyes widened when she realized what she had just said. She averted her eyes away from me, avoiding my gaze. I saw her blushed.

Is this for real? I softened a bit.

I smiled at her.

"Don't you think you're lucky because the guy you like, likes you back?"

She looked at me, and smiled, her eyes shining brightly. She hugged me again, and this time, I hugged her back.

Nothing could've been better.

That's it. :) Reviews are highly much appreciated.
