It had been over a week since the battle on the ark, and the Noah Mansion was unusually silent. A dark woolen blanket of sorrow weighed down on the home as the ones inside mourned the loss of their family member, and healed from their own wounds. Today was the first day that most of the surviving Noah and the Earl had been in the same room for any length of time, and no one spoke a word, knowing that if they were to open their mouths that it would surely be about then two members of their family who weren't present.

Road sat looking at the coffee table in the study, her fists clenched on her lap. Her anger swirled about her coming off in dark tendrils that caused even the umbrella golem to keep its distance. The twins were still bandaged up from their fight with the vampire exorcist said nothing, for once not having anything to say. Lulubell was seated next to the Earl, cleaning her glasses as she had done for the past half hour, merely to have something to do to distract her from the uncomfortable tension. The quiet was only broken when the last living member of their family walked into the room, the door letting out a quiet squeak as it was opened. Road's head snapped up and she quickly stood and made her way to her uncle, stopping in front of him, eyes on the floor. The loud snap of her hand contacting with his cheek rang through the room, leaving them all shocked at the eldest actions, most of all being the Noah who was on the receiving end of her rage and had not been expecting the slap.

"Tyki you're an idiot!" She raged, tears brimming in her eyes. "What did you think you were doing? Why didn't you let me help you? Do you really hate being a Noah that much?" Jasdero and Debitto were at their sister's side in a minute, both worried by the unusual behavior that she was exhibiting. The Noah of Pleasure said nothing as his niece glared up at him. "Are your human friends so much better than us that you'd want to throw half of your soul! Didn't you think what would happen if you left us? Don't you care about us?" She said tears trickling out of her purple eyes. The Noah smiled softly and placed a hand on the top of her head.

"I'm sorry." With a sob Road threw her arms around his waist, her face buried in his shirt.

"We could have lost you too. We can't lose anyone else, not after Skinn." The pixie-like girl said her words muffled, but heard clearly by the others. At the mention of their lost sibling, the Noah inside of them caused their eyes to become glassy before tears flowed silently from their eyes.

"Don't worry Road, it doesn't look like I'll be going anywhere for a while." He said as he placed a hand on his niece's head. He wouldn't be leaving them again, while he looked like this, there was nowhere for him to go but here. So he would just have to make do, and accept that this was his permanent home, and that blond woman he couldn't stand, and the fat man who constantly called him Tyki-pon, and those goofball twins who were completely useless brats, and the short sadistic girl who was hugging his waist and crying were his family, and he supposed, that was alright with him.
