Ezra's gold tooth flashed in the auditorium lights. Applause that had started rippling through the building when he'd reached for the chips on the table was now a full-blown roar. Six men stood in the nearest balcony, whistling, applauding, and shouting congratulations louder than any of the other viewers.
It was to their proud faces that Ezra raised his green eyes. He smiled brilliantly at them. If it had not been for their encouragement, he doubted he would have ever entered the National Poker Championship, and now he had just won it for the third consecutive year in a row!
