A/N: A little poem I wrote about the Great Dragon at the end of The Witches Quickening. review please but no flames

BTW dose anyone else think the dragon was creeper-ish at the end of that episode? he was all, "Merlin, I'm waiting, let me free. Merlin. I'm a creepy stalker Merlin, MERLIN!

DISCLAIMER: if Merlin was mine, Morgana whould not be evil. So obvilesly and sadly I don't own it

Alone in the caverns

Deep under the castle of Camelot

The Great Dragon

Lies in wait

Waiting for a promise

He thinks will not come.

The young worlock had promised

to free him.

But the dragon knows

That the boy will be hesitant

Stalling,

Bidding his time

Empty promises

Words thown lightly in to the wind

The dragon roars

The sound amplifing though the caverns

Tierd is he of waiting in the dark.

For twenty long years has he waited

To feel the sun on his wings

Casting great shadows on the land

Far, far

Below

Gold scales shining in the light.

He feels as though he cant wait another day,

Yet more weeks

Months

Years

Waiting,

To be set free.

Suddenly he can take it no longer.

For a second

The walls feel as though they close in on him.

Crushing him

To his

Death.

He roars again

And reaches out with his mind.

And he finds the warlocks mind,

Sleeping, lost in his dreams

To him the dragon is forgotten.

Not for long.

He roars

The sound pounding in the warlocks brain

"MERLIN!"

The dragon waits.

He knows

In a short time

He will be free.
