Rules
"Okay, if you two are going to be a couple, them there are some rules we need to go over," said Harry looking sternly at his two best friends who were hand in hand. Both of them were smiling goofily and were hardly taking his words seriously, but he meant every word that came out of his mouth. "Number Five: pay attention to people other than each other,
Number Four: don't talk or think about each other nonstop when you aren't together,
Number Three: if you're going to date, don't have a problem with me dating Ginny," he directed this one to Ron who tried to protest, but he continued, "
Number Two: if you break up, don't hate each other and never talk to each other ever again. I know that that probably won't happen, but on the slight chance that it does, you should still be friends! Most important of all, though, is
Number One: don't make it so that someone else can't bear to sit in the same room with the two of you without feeling the need to puke or hit you. I'm NOT going to relive your relationship with Lavender only with Hermione. I am not putting up with that again. I know that Hermione actually has a brain, but you two actually like each other so I'm not sure what to think. Follow those rules and I have every right to tell you when you're not!" Harry stared sternly at the two of them daring them to protest.
"When you say, 'don't have a problem with me dating Ginny,' what exactly do you mean?" Ron asked.
"It means that you won't lecture me every time we go out on a date and you won't scowl at me whenever we're together."
"Can I not follow that rule? Could I just follow the others? She is my sister after all. Otherwise, I'd be fine with it."
Hermione elbowed him in the ribs at this and Harry said, "No, you still have to follow that one if you're going to expect me to approve of your relationship."
Ron scowled and grumbled, "Fine."
Harry smiled and cheerfully said, "Alright, carry on!" Ron and Hermione disapperated and Harry turned to face Neville who was standing in the doorway chuckling.
