"I'm bored," Parker stated as she watched Hardison flip through the channels on the screens set up in Nate's apartment. Parker, Hardison and Eliot were all seated on the couches facing the televisions. Nate was leaning over the pile of client requests scattered on the kitchen counter, trying to decide which case they would take on next. He was ignoring the three occupants in his home and couldn't figure out why they seemed to spend all their time at his house.
"Hey Hardison? Wanna to go break into the bank with me?" The question forced Nate to stop his perusing and look up at the trio. Hardison hadn't responded yet, but had stopped flipping the channels.
Nate spoke up, "No. Parker. You are not going to rob the bank just because you're bored." He waited until Hardison started flipping again before going back to the papers. Nate watched Sophie walk through the front door as Nate heard Parker mutter, "Its not like they have a good security system anyways."
Sophie looked at Nate who just shrugged and went back to looking through the papers. "Anything catch your eye?" she asked as she set her purse down. Nate shook his head and pushed a stack of papers towards Sophie.
"Would you stop flipping and leave it on one channel or something?" Eliot yelled at Hardison. Nate refused to look up; but he could tell by the clicking sound that Hardison had not stopped flipping. Actually, it sounded like Hardison had started flipping through the channels even more furiously. A few minutes passed and the only sounds that could be heard were paper shuffling and the tv clicking. Nate counted under his breath, "five, four, three, two.."
Nate looked up just in time to see Eliot rush towards Hardison. Eliot grabbed Hardison's arms and flung him towards the table, knocking it over along with the papers sitting on it. Hardison struggled to fight off Eliot; Parker moved in and grabbed the remote from the scuffle. Nate blinked and Parker was sitting back on the couch as if she had never moved. Hardison's high pitched scream filled the room and Sophie tapped Nate on the arm. She gave him a warning glare and he nodded, swallowing hard. They had practiced this, he could do it.
"Eliot: let Hardison go. Parker: help pick up the table and papers." Nate said. "And if you three can't behave, then you can go to your homes." Nate refused to acknowledge the murmurs of 'he started it' and 'not fair' coming from the trio as they bean to clean up the mess.
Nate looked at Sophie. She had a large smile on her face and leaned over so she was next to Nate's ear. "Not bad," she whispered.
