Australia waited eagerly, swinging his legs back and forth under the chair. Finally he would get to meet his neighbour he kept hearing about. Suddenly, the door opened and two new individuals entered the room. Australia leapt to his feet.
"England! You're back!" He grinned at the Brit before switching his sights to the wide-eyed girl following behind him. "Is this me sissy?" he asked, pointing to the child who had yet to notice him among all the other interesting foreign objects.
England furrowed his brow. "Yes, this is your sister Brent. I would like you to meet Phoebe Kirkland, the nation of New Zealand." Australia half ran up to her, crouching a bit so they were roughly eye to eye.
"G'day. I'm Brent, and you're the girl I've been hearing so much about." She finally pulled her eyes away from the surroundings to look at him. "Oh wow, we have the same colour eyes. You're such a cute kid!" She smiled widely.
"Kia ora!" she said proudly (Aus saw England twitch behind him, but ignored it for now.) "I'm Pipi!" (Another twitch.)
"Oh, so you want me to call you that? Pipi it is then!" He smiled and ruffled her hair, not noticing where her eyes were now watching.
Two strands of hair; bouncing, bobbing in front of her face. What was with that hair?...
"Hm, she usually gives people a hongi when she meets them. I wonder why she hasn't yet." England wondered aloud. Seeing Australia's confused expression, he shrugged and explained "It's her way of greeting people; she rubs noses with them."
"Oh," he turned back to New Zealand (who was still completely distracted by his odd hair.) "Like this?" He leaned closer to her face until they were almost touching. "Hm?"
That last noise jolted the girl from her thought and to the realisation of exactly how close they were. With a surprised squeak she gave the blind reactions of swinging her head back and then bashing it straight into his face; her forehead bang into his nose to be precise.
"Argh!" They both yelled and stumbled back, Australia clutching his nose in pain while Pipi just gingerly rubbed her forehead, which had hit much harder things in its lifetime. England quickly hurried to help his youngest brother, checking his nose.
"I think she broke it." He stated. "I might scar…" Brent was already to his feet.
"Whad da h'll wa' da' for?" There was blood dripping onto his hands, but no one seemed too bothered by it. "Dab wa' so nob cu'e!"
"Come on, that was an accident-"
"You're just an idiot!" Pipi shouted over top of him, poking her tongue out at he neighbour. England sighed; New Zealand's people and Brent's personality weren't going to give up on this for a long time…
"…then I wrestled that bugger to the ground, 'cause there ain't no crocodile which can out smart me!"
"Wow! Australia is so brave and strong!" Italy responded in awe. "Ve, is that really how you got that plaster on your nose?"
"Of course mate! Why wouldn't it be?" Walking past behind them, New Zealand let out a snicker as she tried not to burst into laughter.
"Crocodile wrestling, my kiwi's arse Aus. To quote a cultural icon: Yeah right." Australia glared at her.
"Shut up Zea-"
"Ve, then how did he get that band-aid?" The kiwi grinned.
"Now that story I can tell y-" she didn't get a chance to finish before Aus tackled her to the ground.
"SHUT UP NEW ZEALAND!"

A/N: And that's why Aussie has to wear a plaster on his nose to this day: because New Zealand has a hard head XD. And also why they hate each other, and why no one can every hear the story.
