Falling Petals

Whoever said life was easy was obviously lying

Because all around him people were dying

He made the choice to live and fight

At the end of the tunnel, there is no light

At the time when he killed his own friend

He honestly thought his heart would mend

Yet he's come to find that scars still remain

Those ghosts of his past that he must maim

With the haunting vision of a lotus unseen

His only defense is being cold, hard, and mean

Time ticking away with the falling petal

The swing of the sword; resounding metal

Bending without breaking seems to be his life

All to the symphony of his very own strife

Yet there within the darkness lies light

Struggling to reach it with all his might

Better days have come and gone

The fight has never been this long

With sword and hand he will defend

Yet who knows when this will end…?

Kim-onka…

I am so sorry about the short length and the long time it took me to write it! I just seemed to have writer's block, and I actually wrote the first two stanzas the day you made the request, and then the last three the day I actually posted this. I do hope you like it though. :3

For once, my favorite lines aren't the last four! It's actually the middle stanza, or stanza number three.

Well, here's a failed poem, feel free to leave hate letters now. XD

AND YES, I DO TAKE POEM AND ONE-SHOT REQUESTS NOW! PLEASE GO TO MY PROFILE FOR MORE INFORMATION!
