A/N: Heyy! This is my first ever fanfic on Anime. I hope you guys like it!

Iggy: Disclaimer: Aya doesn't own Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. Or any of the places in this story. Or any of the song lyrics in the future chapters. She owns the plot though.

Aya: Thanks. I always know I can count on you.

Fang: Don't count on me.

Aya: OK! I know that anyway.

Chapter 1

When you look at the outside, the editor-in-chief's office has a very unusual character. Its walls are made up of bullet-proof and sound-proof glass. And you know what glass looks like, right? That's right, transparent. For an editor-in-chief, you would think he would have curtains for privacy. Bad news, he doesn't. So pretty much every person in the room can see what he does. Everything.

And right now, every employee of Eighteen magazine, the most famous teenage magazine in the United States, are witnessing the heated argument between the editor-in-chief and Carly Nagisa. It's pretty interesting. All the employees are very curious at what the argument is about. Sound-proof glass walls are the worst when you want to eavesdrop.

"What?" Carly Nagisa exploded. "I can't go to London!" Carly slammed her hands on the editor-in-chief's delicately designed wooden desk.

Editor-in-chief John Maxwell looks so calm. He twined his fingers and rested his chin on them. "Carly, you have to."

"But I don't want to! I just came back from Tokyo and now you want me to go to London?" Carly is still shouting.

"Do you want to keep this job?"

"Yes! Of course, I do!" This job is everything for her. This is the job she has been dreaming of. To be an international reporter for Eighteen magazine.

"Then you're going to London. No buts. You're going."

"Fine. What am I going to do there?" Maybe London won't be that bad, Carly thought.

"Easy. You're going to learn everything there is about Jack Atlas."

"Who?" Carly was clearly confused. After all those three months living in Tokyo, she is definitely behind in the celebrity world.

Angela Rains, Carly's archenemy and also an international reporter like her, flipped her long blond hair. Angela snorted and crossed her legs. "She doesn't even know who Jack Atlas is. I should be the one who will interview him in London. Not her." Angela never refers to her in her name. She hates Carly that much.

Chief shook his head. "Carly is going to be the one who will do it. I already picked her."

Angela dropped her jaw. Carly stuck out her tongue to her. "I'm going to do it," Carly said to Chief. "How long am I going to be there?"

"Three weeks."

Oh, good. Carly sighed mentally. "Thanks. When do I start?"

"My plane is waiting for you."

Now it's Carly's turn to drop her jaw. "I haven't even packed yet!"

"It's all taken care of," Chief waved a hand at her. "Now go. It's waiting for you. See you in three weeks!"

"But. . . But. . ."

"I said, no buts. Shoo!"

Angela glared at Carly. "You heard him. Shoo!"

Carly's feet was glued to the floor. The Chief sighed impatiently. He picked up his phone and called for his guards.

A couple of big guys carried Carly by her arms and up to the roof.

I haven't even packed yet! was Carly's last thought before being carried up to the roof.
