Knuckles and Rouge's first date
Knuckles woke up excited; today was the day he and his girlfriend, Rouge, were going on their first date. They were going to go to the most popular theme park in Station Square: Dreampark. Dreampark was popular because it had something for everyone. They had fast and scary rides, slow and calm rides, shops, eateries, theaters, plays, you name it. Knuckles took a shower, got dressed, and went to his car, and drove to Rouge's house at six in the morning. She was standing outside of the house: both of them were prompt and on time, every time. They chose to get out early to beat the crowds, lines, and traffic.
Knuckles had bought tickets in advance on the Internet the night before. Just in case they arrived late and had to deal with the crowds, they wouldn't have to buy tickets up front. They arrived at Dreampark gates. Knuckles told the lady at the front desk that he had purchased tickets the night before. The lady found his reservation and printed the tickets. They were the only way into the park without breaking the law. There was a big shop by the front gates.
While there were shops all over the park, this shop had everything the others had all in one place. The pair looked through the shop first so when they decided to leave, they could get the souvenirs without having to carry them around all day or run the risk of them getting stolen. Knuckles had a credit card and Rouge had money in a place that I will not write down. When they picked the things they wanted, they left the shop and went to the things that theme parks are so famous for: Rides. This is where the humor started. Knuckles found that Rouge had a sense of adventure, and would go on any ride you took her on. But during the ride, if the ride was fast and had a lot of stops, drops, loops and what not, she would SCREAM, REALLY LOUD.
Knuckles took her on the Loop-De-Loop, which consisted of speed, loops, and drops. All he could hear was a shrill scream. He took her on the Nightmare, which was all that, plus sudden stops, loud music and noise, and the whole ride was in pitch-blackness. He heard no music, just shrieks. He took her on the Ride Of No Return, which was loops, speed, and a trademark strait down drop at 100 feet. His ears rung after he got off the ride, since Rouge was screaming so much. After that he asked,
"Hey batgirl, have you tried NOT screaming?"
"Shut up," said Rouge, punching Knuckles in the arm. It was a warning punch. Rouge could punch much harder. She once punched someone so hard they lost feeling in that arm for five hours. After more rides, Lunch, and still more rides, they decided to get the souvenirs. Rouge got a coffee mug with her name on it, a sweatshirt, and a gold ring with the Dreampark logo engraved on it. Knuckles got a Dreampark water bottle, a Dreampark baseball hat, and a plastic Oscar with "World's Best Screamer" engraved on it, for Rouge, though she didn't think it was so funny.
…
Knuckles dropped Rouge of at her house that night. They kissed each other goodnight. Years later, once they were married and had children, Rouge still had the Oscar. The ring had been lost ages ago, the mug had fallen off the counter and broke, and she outgrew the sweater. Knuckles outgrew his hat and the water bottle had been warped in the dishwasher, so badly that it was no longer usable. That day at the theme park was one that would never be forgotten.
