Hello everyone. As all of you may know, I finished this story quite a while ago. Therefore, since my writing skills have improved and I reread this story, crying at the grammatical errors and plot holes, I decided to rewrite this lovely piece. Read it again and enjoy!

"Come on Aveline !", my brothers yelled in unison. Jacob ran through the playground while Ryan jumped on one of the swings, dangling back and forth with a wide grin. Jacob soon followed him with a gleeful giggle. They were both younger than me, Jacob was five while Ryan was seven. I was the only female out of our parent's children, and the oldest at the age of sixteen.

"Hold on, I'm just catching my breath", I yelled to them, collapsing on a park bench and panting from the excursion. I had been continuously running after them for a half an hour. Our parents had to go to a meeting for my dad's work, and now I was stuck watching two balls of energy. 'They owe me big time for this…', I thought to myself, glaring at the two small boys before me. Not that I had a lot to do of course, I didn't have many friends to hang out with, but it was really hard keeping two small boys busy. However, I would be lying if I said I didn't love the little hellions. They were evil little pranksters, but they always showed me that they loved their big sister in their own way. I couldn't count the number of times they irritated me,, and then did something like draw a picture for me as a way of an apology. I sighed as I looked over at them and then I groaned.

It seemed that my break was over as I could see them starting to get antsy again. They had slowed their swings down and were now shifting their weight to hit each other as the swings went back and forth. I was not in the mood to comfort a hurt child tonight, so I decided to intervene before the disastrous could happen. "Okay, I'm coming after you Jake!", I yelled as I sprinted at him. The little blonde immediately stopped his swing, leapt up, and began winding around the poles monkey bars. Ryan jumped up as I ran past him, immediately following close behind us.

"Can I help you catch him?", Ryan asked, speeding up next to me, trying to keep up. His little cherub face smiled at me, a little tooth missing on the top row of his teeth. He had just lost the little sucker and it had made him even cuter than before. I glanced up at our quarry and saw that Jake was starting to go into the woods on the edge of the playground.

"Sure, but we have to get him fast, those woods are off limits.", I told Ryan, increasing my strides. Those woods were private property and it was said that the owner could be quite angry with trespassers. I had to grab my idiotic little brother before he got too far in or we could be in a lot of trouble. Ryan nodded, shot me a mischievous smirk, and shot in front of me with an increase of speed that could only come from a little kid. And then he ran in the opposite direction!

"Haha sis, now you have to catch both of us!", Ryan called back to me in a teasing tone, sprinting to the woods, crashing through the bushes the same way Jacob had already done. My eyes widened in panic, and though I ran as fast as I possibly could, they quickly ran out of my sight.

Oh shit… This is not good, definitely not good.

I ran around in circles for a while. Attempting to follow them by sound as they ran through the heavily forested area hadn't worked since it seemed that the two troublemakers were evading me by splitting up. One would go one way until I started to followed, then the other would make another sound behind me. At last, I pinned the sound of one down and tracked him until I came to an opening. More like stumbled on it really, I went through a couple of thorn bushes and nearly fell in it. I lay there, my sides heaving in exhaustion as I glanced around the clearing.

"Huh, didn't know this was back here.", I panted. It was a nice little field with, a small pond, however, it was surrounded by bushes and tree's making it hard to see in the dense forest. Makes sense that I didn't see it until I was falling through the thorn bush.

After I had rested a few minutes, I climbed to my feet looking around. Walking over to little pond, I hoped wistfully that the boys hadn't jumped in the water. It would be a pain in the ass to get them home with wet clothes. I glanced down at the surface of the water, there were no ripples, just my reflection. An exhausted, tall, hazel eyed girl looked back at me, with dark brown hair that was cropped in a pixie-cut, spiky in the back, with long bangs in the front. She was skinny and had pale skin that seemed to glow, with looks that had been complimented as beautiful and well sculpted. Still, I didn't have many friends, which was fine with me. I was used to being alone. People thought of me as strange, and since I wore more boy clothes than most girls, I was also called a tom-boy. 'Joke's on them if they think I need their friendships anyway.', I thought to myself, pulling myself out of my trance of self-pity.

I shook my head at myself, the boys were still in these woods, and since they weren't here I had to start looking somewhere else. I didn't have time to be contemplating my lack of social life. Taking one last glance at the pond's smooth surface, my eyes widened as I saw that it's image had changed.

Instead of my reflection there was now a map of some sort. It was a colored map, and while it didn't have lines that showed roads or routes like regular maps, it had what looked like a large castle, expensive mansion, tall tower, and an odd amusement park on it. I assumed that the ostentatiously drawn landmark was an amusement park because a roller coaster seemed to be winding itself over it. In wonder, I bent at the waist to get a closer look. As I scrutinized it, I felt two sets of hands push me in the back. Fighting gravity, my arms flailed as I tried to regain my balance. In my wild movements, I swiveled on my feet and began to fall backwards. As I fell, I looked behind me in bewilderment. Jacob's and Ryan's smirking faces were the last thing I saw as I went down.

'Oh, I'm going to wring their little necks when I get out of this damn pond.', I growled mentally as I hit the water. I waited to hit the no doubt scummy bottom, but instead I kept falling through the water. Very fast! The speed increased as I fell further and further into the depths of the abyss. 'Just how deep is this pond!?' My ears popped at the sudden drop in elevation, making me a little dizzy and it didn't help that it was getting darker as I sunk further and further. Before I knew it, I had lost consciousness from the increase in pressure.
