Stepping in It

"Jaken!" Sesshomaru shouted.

"Yes my Lord?" Jaken answered, running into the room.

"Where is Kagome?"

"She took that little creature she calls a puppy for a walk."

"Please tell me someone went with her?" Sesshomaru growled, making Jaken cringe.

"No, my lord."

"You allowed her to go outside alone?!"

"It's not my fault. I… I tried to stop her, but she was insistent on going."

"You're Youkai, so don't give me that bull. You should have gone with her."

"She wanted to go alone."

"If anything happens to her, you will be held liable," Sesshomaru said before kicking Jaken across the room. He then began a search for Kagome. Part of the reason he wanted Kagome in his home was so he could keep her safe. Even though there hadn't been any attempts on her life since he killed Hokkaido, Sesshomaru wasn't completely positive Kagome was out of danger from the mafia. Sesshomaru's heart clenched at the thought of Kagome being hurt, or even killed. He quickened his steps.

Jaken rubbed the bump on his head while he headed to his room, stopping instantly when he stepped in something soft. Seeing the poop, he cursed the human and her puppy.
