AN UPDATE -

It goes without saying that the story that was Collide has not been updated in a long, long time. But it's never been forgotten. Eight years on from when I first thought up this fanfiction at seventeen year old, I still get follows, favs and likes on it; even though my writing was atrocious, and the site has not been kind to its format after all these years.

The reason why I stopped writing is fairly simple. I got busy. Exams were coming up and I was entering a pretty difficult period of my life, so I had to put the breaks on and focus on myself first. But, by the time I wanted to return to this story, so much time had passed and I was embarrassed by the numerous mistakes and cliches that I didn't think it worth cleaning up.

But now I'm tempted to come back and revisit it. It'll be a labour of love to my seventeen year old self, holding all the same themes, cliches and characters... but hopefully with less mistakes and a little more finesse. I know where the story progresses, and I know where it ends. Even now, RikuRoku as a pairing is still strangely underrepresented, and I'd love to be able to submit a piece for you guys to read and enjoy. So, whether you're an old reader or a new one who managed to get through the last six chapters without being turned off by how awful it looks, let me know? I'd love your thoughts.

In any case, this version of Collide means too much to me to just get rid of, so I'll be keeping it here for prosperity. Maybe the next time you see a chapter update, it'll be a link to the updated story.
