Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter. If I did, I'd be a brilliant British woman with a lot of money. Which I'm pretty sure I'm not. (Jealous!)

I want one too, Remus!

It was a depressingly rainy and cold afternoon in October. Lessons were over for the day, which meant that 4th year Remus Lupin could relax in his dorm. He was reading in the tranquility of his empty bed. His mates Prongs and Wormtail were chasing girls around the school. He didn't have idea where is boyfriend, Sirius Black, was. And that was never good.

Just as he was flipping his large, musty book, the door opened loudly. Sirius came running in and sprang onto Remus' bed. Remus almost toppled off from the force of his Padfoot's excitement. He crawled up the bed into Remus' side.

Although Moony had gotten used to these interruptions, they still got to him. But one look into Sirius' cute little innocent face made up for it. In fact, he was just glad he was here instead of making more trouble.

"Moony?" Sirius asked. "Yes, Padfoot?" he replied obediently. "Why is Lily so cranky today?"

Remus knew at once. It was the 17th. That meant she was menstruating. "Well, she is on her period, Sirius."

"I wish I could have a period." Sirius sighed, cuddling further into Moony's side. "Really? Why is that?" Remus said, perplexed.

"Well, I think it'd be cool to be moody for once a month and no one could get angry at you for it." Sirius replied logically. "Why can't I have one?"

"You don't have the right bits." Remus answered, trying not to smile. "Okay, Moony." Padfoot sighed, closing his eyes.

Remus put down his book and cuddled back into Padfoot. They napped there a few minutes, until he felt Sirius jolt awake.

"What is it!" Moony asked quickly. "You get a time of the month!"

With that, Sirius jumped off the bed and out the dorm door. All Remus could do was sigh and pick his book back up.
