Tucker remembered when Danny first realized his feelings for the Goth ran deeper than friendship.

It had been a sunny afternoon after a long day at school. They were all coming out of the complex, chatting amiably with one another and arranging plans for how to spend the evening.

He'd suggested they go to the Nasty Burger and pig out on meat.

Sam had made a noise of disgust and said that perhaps a trip to the movies would close this nearly-perfect day.

Danny had just agreed with both of them, nervously saying, "Well, why not just go to both? That way Tucker can stuff himself of meat and you can watch your movie. How about it?"

Sam had agreed after a moments contemplation, making him swear to keep the meat comments to himself as he ate.

Then he did it.

Tucker whooped loudly and latched onto Sam to envelope her in a tight, long, brotherly hug to show his affections that his best friend had, for once, decided to loosen her uptight attitude on meat and let him divulge in his passion.

The atmosphere had changed rather quickly; startlingly quickly. Tucker managed a subtle glance at Danny and saw that his usually chipper sky blue eyes were a dangerous emerald and his fists were clenched tightly.

When he had let go, Sam had laughed and ruffled his hair, causing his beret to fall off and Tucker to whine exaggeratedly; all the while, aware that his other best friend was emitting rather dangerous waves of fury.

"Let's go," Danny snapped right after. "Before the sun sets." And he marched off ahead of them, Sam oblivious to the burning look in his eyes.

Tucker had decided that for his own sake, and perhaps Sam's, he would keep his distance from the pretty Gothic until further notice.
