A/N: My first Iron Man fanfiction. I have decided that I love Pepperony. This fic is based on the movies, as I have never read the comics...

Disclaimer: I don't own them, be awesome if I did though :)

She wondered how long it would take him to notice her, sitting on the couch, laptop taking up its residency in, well, her lap, and the pregnancy test she'd taken just that morning resting in front of her on the coffee table.

The blue plus sign as clear as day.

Pepper smiled, Tony had past her at least three times in the last two hours, on each passing he'd given her two long and deeply passionate kisses, one teasing smile, and a long drawn out sigh when she'd told him that she had work to do, and reminded him of the work he was supposed to be doing, the prengnancy test ignored.

She was sure she'd heard the A.I. suppress a chuckle at the geniuses' apparent cluelessness, something she too was finding hard not to laugh at.

He really could be dumb at times.

It wasn't until the fourth time he ventured back up the stairs from his work shop, and headed towards the kitchen when the damn broke, her laughter floating effortlessly through the house.

He back-tracked his movements until he was back into her line of sight, she could only laugh harder at the clueless expression on his face. He frowned and looked himself over.

He did not see what was so funny.

"I'm getting the feeling that I'm the butt-end of some joke." He said watching her as she hunched herself over, hugging her stomach as she tried to regain her breath. When she finally looked back up at him, she couldn't help but laugh some more.

"Seriously, what is it? Has the water in this place been spiked?" Tony asked looking up to the ceiling, his question directed at Jarvis, who he hoped was more co-operative than his giggle-ridden girlfriend. "Care to fill me in?"

"On the table, Sir" He could hear the amusement lacing Jarvis's words.

He rolled his eyes, but focused his attention towards the table none-the-less, and there it was, a white pen laying aimlessly on the wooden surface.

"I don't see how that's-" Wait a minute, that's no pen "funny..."

Tony slowly stalked his was over to the table and peered at the white stick, he picked it up and stared at it, turning it around as if it would make sense if held at a different angle.

Pepper finally stopped giggling, and watched him in utter fascination.

"You're pregnant." he muttered still staring at the pregnancy test, a smile spreading along his mouth. "Wait!" he looked at her, a frown overtaking his smile, "how long has this been here?"

Giggles overtook her body once again.

He really was an idiot.
