She's my sister!

My life was going exactly how I wanted it. It was all perfect. I was about to take over the world. Why was I having the same nightmare? It was a memory of when I lived in the tomb; it was a few days before my initiation. All those years ago back when I was just a child.

I was walking with my father one day. A simple question sparked my mind.

"Father, why do you keep me from the fangirls?"

"You know why we keep you from the fan girls Billy?" My father asked me, forgetting my name yet again.

"I'm Marik." I corrected.

"I don't care. We keep you from the fan girls for an important reason. We have already picked out a girl for you; I think you'll like her. You'll meet her tomorrow, I hope your excited Billy." My father answered himself, ignoring me. I didn't say anything more. I was thinking too fast to talk. A girl for me? I wonder what she was like. I wondered about her all night.

When I woke up the next morning I ran towards my father.

"Is the girl here yet?" I asked eagerly.

Right before my father had time to answer. Odion walked in.

"Master Hank, Master Marik's lunch is ready," He said. Friggin Odion, always killing my fun.

"Oh great. You'll get to meet her right now!" My father exclaimed. I ran to the table. Forgetting if I wanted to eat or not. I looked over at the table. My excitement had faded and turned to confusion. The only person sitting there was my older sister.

"Hey sis, do you know where the girl Dad is telling me about is?" I asked. She didn't answer. There was an awkward silence as I sat down to eat my lunch.

"Oh goodie, you two met, Marik this is Ishizu, Ishizu Marik." My father said, popping out of nowhere.

"Dad, I know who my own sister is."

"Oh so you already know each other, that's good. Well I'll leave you two alone to get to know each other better."

My father left the room and left me and my sister alone at the table.

"So," My sister began "I like long walks on the beach…"

As Ishizu went on about what she likes to do on dates, I excused myself from the table to go find my father.

"Hahaha, that was funny dad, where's the girl?"

"What are you talking about? That is the girl! Do you like her?"

I was still incredibly confused.

"Dad, that's my sister! Gross!" I told him.

"We've been living underground for generations! How else do you think we have children?" My father explained to me. It all started to click in my head. My family expected me to Marry, sleep, and have children with my sister.

"Dad, that's so wrong though, can't we just get a girl from the surface world?" I ask him.

"No! We can't let any outsiders in for some strange unexplained reason!" He answered me. "Now go back and try to find a romantic connection with your sister Billy!"

I shrugged my shoulders, I suppose it didn't hurt to try. Even though it was my sister. I sat back down at the table.

"So, you like long walks on the beach you've never been on?" I started, trying to make conversation.

"Yes exactly." She answered. The awkward silence set in. I excused myself from the table and found my father again.

"Dad, you can't be serious. I will never have a romantic relationship with Ishizu! EVER!" I told him.

"Don't be ridiculous Billy! Of course you will! Every male Ishtar does! What do you think your mother was? She was my sister! Same with my parents before me and their parents before them!"

I shook in fear. I couldn't even condone that. To begin with I wasn't sure about my sexuality, and I knew Ishizu wasn't my type, whatever my type was. I tried to pursuade my father again.

"Dad, it's Ishizu! Can't Odion Marry her?" I asked.

"NO! It is your destiny my son!" My father argued back

"I DON'T WANT MY [EFF]ING DESTINY!" That was the first time, I had cursed in front of my father.
