The Doctor awoke to Flayari jumping out of his lap. He had hoped that it wasn't all a dream, so when he saw Flayari, he was happy. He still had the companion he would never lose, and the one thing that would never leave him. He then remembered that the TARDIS had landed last night, and to be honest, he was curious where they were. He flung open the door, and saw people with daemons. And the people acknowledged the daemons. The Doctor groaned slightly.
He was in another alternate dimension. Why were there so many fudging different dimensions? He set out to explore what this new world was like, everyone wondering who the heck he was. And why he had a pure white cat daemon with him. Flayari and The Doctor could sense the glares and stares, but they didn't care. They were together, and that was all that mattered, not what other people thought. The Doctor saw a news paper floating in the air, and quickly grabbed it. It said it was October 1st, 1998. And that he was in London.
The paper talked of an institute for young children from the age of eight to the age of twelve. It seemed strange to The Doctor that it kept talking about an experiment that included the children and their daemon. The Doctor could feel that something was wrong, and ran back to the TARDIS. He calibrated his scanner to pick up Void Stuff, and a large concentration of it seemed to be at the North Pole.
Flayari jumped onto the control panel and checked The Doctor's calculations. The Doctor looked over at Flayari and saw the she-cat nod. He pulled the control that put the TARDIS in motion, and the people standing outside didn't notice the sudden breeze or the blue box disappear.
A/N: This is set during the first book, and they will meet Lyra soon. I am actually working on the third chapter, and soon you shall see/read the power of The Doctor and Flayari. If I got any facts wrong, just give me a heads up so I can fix it.
